Question:
*SPOILER WARNING* Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows?

What did you make of the last book in the series? I always knew that Snape would come good in the end! Wish I knew what had happened to the Dursleys, though, and about whether Harry made it as an auror. Whose death made you cry the most? I was on an aeroplane coming back from my hols when I read about Dobby ... I sobbed silently into my disgusting in-flight meal! Is it your favourite out of the lot? Opinions please!!

ps: Just went on Mugglenet and discovered the existence of people called 'Shippers'. If you have heard of them, they are psychotically trying to assert a relationship between Harry and Hermione. Explain, someone, please?

Actually, I was convinced that Snape was evil, so imagine how shocked I was while reading about Snape's thoughts... Now I like him more than Dumbledore, who's disgusting me! I mean he wasn't that pure, after all, was he? He covered the truth to Harry, he wasn't fair... Never mind.

I also sobbed silently a few times... First- when Dobby died. Next- when Fred died (he was one of my all time favourites, I couldn't believe it!) and, I actually don't know why, when Harry used the Resurrection Stone to call his parents, Sirius and Remus (while heading to the Forbidden Forest) and asked his mother to stand by him... I couldn't help tears.

Shippers? I've never heard of them.

I think that we can just assume that the Dursley's went back to living at Privet Drive since the danger was gone. Also, I know Harry once said that he wanted to be an Auror, but after all that he has been through, fighting dark wizards at the age of 14, I am not sure how drawn he might still be to that career. I can see him working at the Ministry (assuming it is better run than before) as something like Head of Magical Games and Sports. The character whose death made me cry the most was either Fred or Dobby. Those were both tragic deaths because of how much George will be affected by his twin's death and for Dobby because of how loyal and helpful he was to Harry.

P.S. 'Shippers' are not necessarily people who want Harry and Hermione together, there are Harry/Ginny shippers, Ron and Hermione shippers, and tons of fanon relation ships as well.

Spolier Alert!

Yea I wish more loose ends had been tied, like what happened to the Dursleys and I had hread that someone was going to get magical powers late in live but Didnt read anything in the book about it, I was hopeing it was Dudley. I was the sadest about Dobby though. He was just such a sweet little thing and meant no wrong. Poor Dobby. No I hadnt heard of "shippers" but Ill go to Mugglenet.com now

I loved the book. Was sorry that Lupin and Tonks died, they just had a baby and all. So sad. Also felt so bad for Dobby, he was a wonderful character. I do wish we would have found out what Harry, Ron and Hermionie did as jobs 19 years later. Also, did the book tell us who the new headmaster of Hogwarts was? I don't recall. May have to go back and look.

As far as Harry and Hermionie, never felt that they would get together. Was always leaning toward Ron and Hermonine, especially as the series progressed.

That would be the crazy Harmony group, who attack those who don't believe in Harry and Hermione ending up together. I'm quite happy with Ron and Hermione though. I cheered when she finally kissed him after he expressed his concern for the house elves.

This book was great, but the epilogue was disappointing. She left too much up to the readers' minds, like a great author, but I want to know every little detail. I wonder about their jobs. I can see Harry being content raising his children instead of working, being the father he never had, but certainly Hermione could not stand being a house-wife.

I love how Mrs. Weasly killed Bellatrix, but so many deaths. Lupin and Tonks just broke me. Not another orphan like Harry, poor Teddy...

Well Harry's apparent impending death made me cry sooo much when I found out that part of Voldemorts soul rested inside Harry. The way it was written did this more than anything, about how he was walking towards the forest to his death, and all the people and things he would never see again, all the things he would never do....I hope the pages didn't get too wet.

Dobby made me sniffle too, especially when Harry carved onto his tombstone, "Here lies Dobby: a free elf"

I read it in 15 hours loved it. I didnt cry but i was sort of euphoric and sad at the same time, Freds Death was suprising as hell cuz he didnt have much to with it, and Tonks and Lupins was sad because they had a kid. The nineteen years later epilogue was sad, they grew up its over. And I dont know how you could try to say two fictional characters are having a relationship, when the book clearly states that they are not.

I spent the whole of chapter 34 crying. And I cried when Dobby died and nearly cried when Hedwig and Fred died.

I absolutely HATED the nineteen years later thing!! It was so pointless! Doesn't JK realise that the one rule for stories surrounding children (young adults, whatever), especially as long as this series has been, them growing up and having children of their own is practically perverse!!! It's just wrong!! I couldn't stop laughing at his son's name though. Albus Severus Potter?!? I nearly wet myself!! I was laughing sooo much (no offence to anyone out there called Albus Severus lol)

The book was definitely not her best work. The ending was magnificent (from the time they get to Hogsmeade to the end) but the first 500 pages were lacking. It wasn't like her to, for example, there was no need for Harry & Hermoine to go to Godric's Hollow...about 100 pages were completely pointless.

I just thought it dragged a bit, and Order of the Phoenix and Half Blood were much better books all in all.

I was pissed that she killed Fred, Fred & George were my favorite characters.

PS That weezing thing was Voldemort. It was the six pieces of his soul that were already gone (Horcruxes destroyed). The baby thing was waiting there for the 7th and last piece of its soul to die.

I loved it. I liked the ending except for the 19 years later it seemed to fairy taleish like THEY ALL LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER. To me it didn't really fit in with the rest of the HP books. I thought Dobby's and Fred's death was the saddest. Tonks and Lupins was sad to though.

I almost cried about Dobby I love him sooo much. But I was absolutley crushed when I found out about Fred! Fred was always my favorite George without Fred is like peanut butter without jelly.

It was really good. Ok im pathetic but i actually shed ONE tear when snape died and me and my friend counted and 13 main characters died. We think she did that on purpose but who knows. we did not count Harry dying. But it was kind of odd When he was talking to Albus. And does anyone have an idea what that thing wheezing and stuff was? It was kind of creepy.

ok

We do not know what Harry does except that he is rich.

Shippers are people who prefer certain pairings of characters in a love relationship.

I totally loved the book.
