I was wondering if anyone knows any SAFE websites where you can download ebooks for free,I had a subscription for scribd.com,but that ran out in september and I don't have any spare money right now,I know that some websites will let you download for free, but I want to be sure that the one I'm using is safe.

Thank you for your time.

I prefer modern free ebooks so I get my legal free ebooks at Amazon.com. Amazon has thousands of free ebooks by new and indie authors.

This is my favorite site of the many that point out free ebooks on Amazon. This site is for Amazon US but also has an Amazon UK section.

http://www.dailyfreebooks.com/

And for any Amazon, got to main Kindle Ebooks page, click Best Sellers, click Top `100 Free - then click into categories on the left to see the Top 100 Free in each category.
