So, ill be completely honest with all of you, because it would seem as if though it is taboo that not all ardent readers have read this series of books. I am a huge fantasy fan and I hope this go's with out saying but Lord Of The Rings was the first fantasy book I ever read and truly became a fan of. The first book I ever read was The High Tech Knight by Leo Frankowski which was a great mixture between medieval times and science fiction and which also led me to discover more fantasy books and eventually the discovery of J.R.R Tolkien.

Now, I recently came across one of the biggest spoilers of all time "The Red Wedding" for those of you who have read the series of books, you know what I am talking about, the thing is, I have never read them, even though I did start reading A Dance With Dragons, once I found out it was the 5th installment of a series I put it down and didn't have a chance after words to read the first series of installments prior to this one. So for all of you who have read them, are they still worth reading?
Will I still enjoy the books even though I know what happens at The Red Wedding? if so, most importantly, can you please let me know the order in which I should read them? thanks a bunch guys.

Yes, the Red wedding is an important event but it's not enough to destroy your enjoyment of the books. Although you might not get quite as attached to certain characters as other readers, but there are plenty more characters who's possible violent demise you can only guess at.

Series in order:

1 - A Game of Thrones

2 - A Clash of Kings

3 - A Storm of Swords

4 - A Feast for Crows

5 - A Dance with Dragons

6 - The Winds of Winter (Not yet published, should be out within the next year or so)

7 - A Dream of Spring (Not yet published)

In my opinion, the first and third books are the best!

Prequel: Tales of Dunk and Egg

1. Game of Thrones

2. Clash of Kings

3. Storm of Swords

4. A Feast of Crows

5. A Dance with Dragons

and if you've never heard of this series... check it out.

The Series: The Wheel of Time - sooooo good.

Prequel: New Spring

1. Eye of the World

2. The Great Hunt

3. The Dragon Reborn

Since it came out under two different titles, I'll just recommend you go to the Game Of Thrones Wikipedia entry and read that, it explains both versions that the author did.
