When I was younger I loved the Nancy Drew series, but now that I am 16 I want mysteries for older readers. I have already read the Nancy Drew files, and other books of Nancy Drew for older readers. I don't like mysteries that aren't from the perspective of a teenage girl. I love the T.V. series Veronica Mars so any books like that would be perfect! Thanks!

Terrier by Tamora Pierce

Wait Till Helen Comes by Marion Downing Hahn

The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin

The Face on the Milk Carton by Caroline B. Cooney

Vienna Prelude by Bodie Thoene

The Sherlock Holmes mysteries by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

Miss Marple mysteries by Agatha Christie

Poirot mysteries by Agatha Christie

The first five on this list are from a teenage girl's perspective. The rest are from older perspectives, but they are still really good. I've read most of these more than once and really enjoy the Sherlock Holmes stories. If you like Terrier (one of my all-time favorites) try reading Trickster's Choice and Trickster Queen by the same author. They are mystery; they are about spies and are very good!

Nancy Drew is an incredible sequence! There are 4 sequence, so never run out! all human beings can understand them! once you're a young person however, i could recommend the Nancy Drew information. they are aimed for a greater suitable analyzing point. even however you would be able to desire to end the Nancy Drew books quicker, its relaxing to declare, "i've got examine 3 books this week!" yet while the Nancy Drew sequence falls by way of for you, Lois Duncan and Joan Lowery Nixon. desire that helps!

Agatha Christie is the perfect place to start. And even though you might not get the perspective of a teenaged girl, you may find that you enjoy other perspectives.

Try Ally Carter's book Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy. Also Michael Sprandlin's Spy Goddess: Live and Let Shop. Walter Sorrells' Fake ID; Black Taxi by James Moloney. These are probably in the Teen section at your library. On the adult side, try anything by Barbara Michaels, especially Ammie Come Home and her other early works. Her other pseudonym is Elizabeth Peters, these are wonderful as well. Give Mary Jane Clark's Dancing in the Dark a try; Mary Higgins Clark doesn't have teen heroines but they are fun to read. Ask your Teen Librarian for help!
