Email the publishers. Simple as that.

The book itself should have a printing history on the inside. Sometimes text book editors wlll change a sentence or two and call it a new edition but the book is essentially the same as the prior edition. Check carefully. This is how text books companies make money.

Go to the Textbooks Website.

I would go to amazon and type the name of the text. If there are different versions, they should show up. However, I don't know if amazon would show up and coming editions. However, amazon shows cd's and movies that are not yet available. I hope this helps. Or just type it in google and see what pops up.
