Mine would be "Everybody suffers but not everybody sees it."

BQ: Do you already have a title in mind/store for your novel?
BQ2: How would you feel if someone said they weren't very fond of a character in your novel which happened to be your favourite?
BQ3: What stage of writing your novel did/do you dislike the most: the plotting, the researching, the writing, the editing, etc.?
BQ4: Do you like the sound of Amie Dean or Amie Mowbray (MO-bree) better? It's for an elite family in my novel. Mowbray is a French surname associated with nobility and Dean is ... well, Dean.
BQ5: Do you think your story would/could make a better comic/manga/tv show than a novel?
BQ6: Last one! What's your average pace at which your novel progresses? Mine sort of crawls ... because I procrastinate too much. ):

"Willpower is blind to circumstances", or something to that extent. In a negative light.

BQ: Not really. It used to be "The Sneak", as a temporary thing, but that name would be silly now.

BQ2: A bit crestfallen, if it were only that person - though I wouldn't care for long. If all my readers felt that way: very crestfallen.

BQ3: The parts where I'm grappling with an idea and trying to keep it whole and untainted, but the more I try, the more it slips away. I like all the other stages of writing :)

BQ4: Agh, now I like Mowbray better than Dean! Either could work, but Mowbray has a sort of illustrious feel to it. The only thing is I think most people will be saying "Mow-BRAY" in their heads unless you somehow tell them otherwise.

BQ5: No, and I've thought of it before. But there's allot of undertones and sub-plots and subtle relationships that could only be truly captured in a novel. I just hope I can pull it off :-/

BQ6: Oh, about a paragraph a month. Not too bad.

Seriously, at this rate, like a word a month. Mostly due to schoolwork and visiting friends at all the wrong times, though :D

Pfft, my story's so complicated, it probably has a million themes. X)

BQ1: Do you already have a title in mind/store for your novel?

Yup! I've actually had one for a while now, though at first it was just another working title, I realized it just fit the story really well. :)

... but its also a bit ironic. X) It's a simple title - the Revolutionaries -, and yet the story is -so freaking complex-.

BQ2: How would you feel if someone said they weren't very fond of a character in your novel which happened to be your favourite?

Everyone has their opinions, I suppose. And I mean, you can't honestly expect everyone to like every character you send their way.

BQ3: What stage of writing your novel did/do you dislike the most: the plotting, the researching, the writing, the editing, etc.?

I can't really answer this question, as my novel is still in the works. ^^;

BQ4: Do you like the sound of Amie Dean or Amie Mowbray (MO-bree) better? It's for an elite family in my novel. Mowbray is a French surname associated with nobility and Dean is ... well, Dean.

Amie Mowbray. It just sounds a bit more powerful, and better suited for your elite family. ^^

BQ5: Do you think your story would/could make a better comic/manga/tv show than a novel?

I do. X) Actually, I think it'd make a much better movie than novel. I've actually toyed with the idea of writing it in script format.... ^^;

BQ6: Last one! What's your average pace at which your novel progresses? Mine sort of crawls ... because I procrastinate too much. ):

Honestly, I've been writing for a while, and I don't think I've ever put so much time in effort into any of my past stories as I have with this one. It's been in the works for almost a year now, and just when I think I'm ready to actually start writing it, it's back to the drawing board. X) Also, I'm almost a little afraid to write it because I just love this idea -so much-, I'm afraid I'll ruin it somehow. ^^;

... wow, I can't even remember what I was saying anymore... O_O" Sorry about that. ^^

I suppose mine would be . . . Life is life

BQ: Do you already have a title in mind/store for your novel?

The one i am using at the moment is too obvious and gives away the main idea in my story

BQ2: How would you feel if someone said they weren't very fond of a character in your novel which happened to be your favourite?

A bit like . . . oh =l . . . but i wouldn't dwell. Well i'd try not to anyway.

BQ3: What stage of writing your novel did/do you dislike the most: the plotting, the researching, the writing, the editing, etc.?

Writing when unispired/distracted. I love the whole package though

BQ4: Do you like the sound of Amie Dean or Amie Mowbray (MO-bree) better? It's for an elite family in my novel. Mowbray is a French surname associated with nobility and Dean is ... well, Dean.

Amie Moowbray

BQ5: Do you think your story would/could make a better comic/manga/tv show than a novel?

No, i don't think so . . .

BQ6: Last one! What's your average pace at which your novel progresses? Mine sort of crawls ... because I procrastinate too much. ):

When i'm in the right state of mind it just flows . . . but then i have those times of procrastination/distaction. So its pretty uneven.

Oo! Oo! A fun interesting question with lots of BQs! Sign me up! ^.^

My theme would be "Trials and hardships will make us stronger if we let them." We all have to go through tough times, and we can learn more from them than anything else. Or, we can sit around feeling sorry for ourselves and watch as the trials tear us down. That's the theme of my current novel :)

BQ: Do you already have a title in mind/store for your novel?

>> Uh, no, not yet. I'm working on it, but I don't think I'm going to title it until I get further along in the story.

BQ2: How would you feel if someone said they weren't very fond of a character in your novel which happened to be your favourite?

>> I would shake it off and keep writing about them. Everyone has different opinions, and they're entitled to theirs. I'm also entitled to my opinion though, so I wouldn't change it a bit. If it was a publisher or editor or a ton of people who said they didn't like the character, I'd try to find out why and improve it, but just one person wouldn't faze me.

BQ3: What stage of writing your novel did/do you dislike the most: the plotting, the researching, the writing, the editing, etc.?

>> Plotting. I hate plotting with a passion, so it's a good thing that plotting isn't really required. I've met authors who don't do any plotting before hand at all. They just sit down and start writing, and the plot ends up creating itself, so to speak. I do use the seven point plotting system (I map out seven of the most important turning points in the novel), but that's the extent of my outlining and other such plotting.

BQ4: Do you like the sound of Amie Dean or Amie Mowbray (MO-bree) better? It's for an elite family in my novel. Mowbray is a French surname associated with nobility and Dean is ... well, Dean.

>> I like Amie Dean better. It flows well and I like the sound of it. Also, the two names compliment each other nicely.

BQ5: Do you think your story would/could make a better comic/manga/tv show than a novel?

>> Maybe, but then again, maybe not. I think it would work well as any of those or as a novel. I just happen to be a talented writer and a horrible artist and/or actor haha :)

BQ6: Last one! What's your average pace at which your novel progresses? Mine sort of crawls ... because I procrastinate too much. ):

>> I'm working off and on when it comes to the actual novel because I've spent a lot of time on the other elements of the novel (the language, the character profiles, the maps and location names, etc.)

FUN QUESTION! Here's a star for you * :)

Mine is sort of difficult, it has a few: "Hate fuels the path to success"; "Revenge always comes"; "Anyone can be the hero"; "Family matters."

Corny, eh?

BQ: Do you already have a title in mind/store for your novel?

Yeah, it's called Gallagher Woods.

BQ2: How would you feel if someone said they weren't very fond of a character in your novel which happened to be your favourite?

Hm, I wouldn't really care all that much. No one can like everything.

BQ3: What stage of writing your novel did/do you dislike the most: the plotting, the researching, the writing, the editing, etc.?

The researching. So. Boring.

BQ4: Do you like the sound of Amie Dean or Amie Mowbray (MO-bree) better? It's for an elite family in my novel. Mowbray is a French surname associated with nobility and Dean is ... well, Dean.

I like Amie Dean better. It flows much better than Amie Mowbray.

BQ5: Do you think your story would/could make a better comic/manga/tv show than a novel?

Hm, it would be a good movie if they pulled the angels off right. But, for now, novel is the best thing.

BQ6: Last one! What's your average pace at which your novel progresses? Mine sort of crawls ... because I procrastinate too much. ):

UGH. Slowly. Trust me, I procrastinate WAAAY to much.

My theme is probably along the lines of "Life is what you make of it, so make it the best". Kind of cheesy and not really like what my story is about... but its the closest

BQ: Do you already have a title in mind/store for your novel? HAHA no. I am no where near that stage yet!

BQ2: How would you feel if someone said they weren't very fond of a character in your novel which happened to be your favourite? I would say thats fine because everyone has there own personal opinions

BQ3: What stage of writing your novel did/do you dislike the most: the plotting, the researching, the writing, the editing, etc.? Coming up with the dialogue. In my head I have it playing like a movie and I just copy it down but it never has dialogue and it takes me awhile to figure out what they need to say in certain situations.

BQ4: Do you like the sound of Amie Dean or Amie Mowbray (MO-bree) better? hmm, I think I like dean better but Mowbray flows better with the first name

BQ5: Do you think your story would/could make a better comic/manga/tv show than a novel? No. I think it would be better to stay on paper and paper alone

BQ6: Last one! What's your average pace at which your novel progresses? haha mine doesn't even crawl along it's more like dragging. I only write a few paragraphs at a time when I write and I only write when I have great ideas that I think will make my story the best it could be.

"It is in the shelter of each other's lives that people live."

:)

BQ: Do you already have a title in mind/store for your novel? A working title anyway.

"Goldfish".....symbolic in nature.

BQ2: How would you feel if someone said they weren't very fond of a character in your novel which happened to be your favourite?

I wouldn't care really. Another person could love it. Can't please everyone:)

BQ3: What stage of writing your novel did/do you dislike the most: the plotting, the researching, the writing, the editing, etc.?

Editing:) Because I would have grown really attached to some of the scenes, bits of dialogue, etc. But I know it would be necessary.

BQ4: Do you like the sound of Amie Dean or Amie Mowbray (MO-bree) better? It's for an elite family in my novel. Mowbray is a French surname associated with nobility and Dean is ... well, Dean.

Amie Dean. Just flows better and looks neater:)

BQ5: Do you think your story would/could make a better comic/manga/tv show than a novel?

Nope. I would just want it to be a novel.

BQ6: Last one! What's your average pace at which your novel progresses? Mine sort of crawls ... because I procrastinate too much. ):

Depends. Sometimes mine rolls like a snowball rolling down a snowy hill picking up snow as it moves along. Other days. It crawls like you've said:)
2011-06-06 19:25:13 UTC
Ooh theme, had to think on that one a bit, but I think it would be: Over coming obstacles and finding inner strength, also loving someone for who they are, not what they look like. *shrug*

BQ: Do you already have a title in mind/store for your novel?

Yes. It's rather dull now that I think of it, but it fits and I've used it too much to change it (plus my story is done) "Into the Rift"

BQ2: How would you feel if someone said they weren't very fond of a character in your novel which happened to be your favorite?

It wouldn't bother me, but I'd ask them why, just because as a writer, the opinion of my readers is important, Not that I'd change the character for them though.

BQ3: What stage of writing your novel did/do you dislike the most: the plotting, the researching, the writing, the editing, etc.?

Probably researching. I hate feeling like I don't know enough about things to make my stories realistic.

BQ4: Do you like the sound of Amie Dean or Amie Mowbray (MO-bree) better?

Amie Mowbray sounds fancy. Like that one better =P

BQ5: Do you think your story would/could make a better comic/manga/tv show than a novel?

If I had more time and patients I'd try to make it into my own graphic novel, but seeing as I don't have either.....I'd love to see my story made into a movie, but since I'm not rich and don't have connections....lol

BQ6: Last one! What's your average pace at which your novel progresses? Mine sort of crawls ... because I procrastinate too much. ):

I procrastinated on this story at first, then all of a sudden I got so into it I couldn't stay away from it! Then I had my son around that time and had the will but not the time *le sigh*

Fun fun fun, thanks for posting this question =P

I don't know about my theme. I guess it would be about fixing things that you did wrong, Love and affection etc. It'd also deal with stuff about looking after your health, Killing kids for their organs (when I heard about it, I had to say something about it!) and What you'd do for someone.

BQ: Yup. The Diamond Fist.

BQ2: If it's a certain one I'm thinking of, if I let his character stay the way he is, then I wouldn't be surprised.

BQ3: Doing the Characters. I still enjoy that, LOTS but that was the least thing I enjoyed.

BQ4: Amie Mowbray. But it's hard to say.

BQ5: Some scenes could be part of a B.R.I.L.L.I.A.N.T. film. Others would murder it if it was in a film!

BQ6: Depends. My last novel was a crawl, until the closer I got to the climax. This one, it'd be at a jog/run pace, but I do have rests. The start wasn't that great! (21,200 words in 41 days)

My theme~...: How can you be sure that everyone is human, if you don't know all people?

BQ: Do you already have a title in mind/store for your novel?

NO! ); I have a flimsy thing tagged onto it, but I haven't any idea as to what the actual title can be...):But thats fine, I'll ask for help here later :)

BQ2: How would you feel if someone said they weren't very fond of a character in your novel which happened to be your favourite?

My favourite character is my main character. He's cowardly, stupid and generally annoying (but creating him was awesomely fun). I would understand completely if someone hated him, he wasn't made to be very likeable ;D

BQ3: What stage of writing your novel did/do you dislike the most: the plotting, the researching, the writing, the editing, etc.?

Loved all of it~ <3 Especially the researching (So much fun...Such a good justification for flicking through pages of gore...) Editing might be the hardest I guess. I had to sit around staring at a section of writing for ages before I could bear to delete it. Arguing with myself is awesome.

'Chae, this needs to go and you know it.'

'...BUT I WROTE IT *tearyeyes*'

'...Stop talking to yourself like that. I'm deleting this.' *deletes*

BQ4: Do you like the sound of Amie Dean or Amie Mowbray (MO-bree) better? It's for an elite family in my novel. Mowbray is a French surname associated with nobility and Dean is ... well, Dean.

Dean. But this is only because I just read 'Year of Wonders' by Geraldine Brooks, where the Mowbrays are a family of pretty darn stupid and annoying people :)

BQ5: Do you think your story would/could make a better comic/manga/tv show than a novel?

Definitely a good anime. My flaw is that I write it in a way that could be portrayed better in an anime, which results in a lot of confusion. (For example, my random internal monologue, my constant temptation to write 'he sweatdropped'...)

BQ6: Last one! What's your average pace at which your novel progresses? Mine sort of crawls ... because I procrastinate too much. ):

It usually crawls. CRAWLER HIGH 5! Sometimes it takes a massive leap. I bet it's just charging itself up as it crawls, so it can take a big shot every once in a while. Like a laser.

Yeah...

HAPPY WRITING~

My theme would be: "There are some good people in the world. We just don't see them among the bad."

BQ: The Cat's Hoax

BQ2: I wouldn't really care that's their opinion and they would still be my favorite character no matter what.

BQ3: I suppose the researching

BQ4: I like Amie Mowbray (through I did think it was pronounce differently)

BQ5: No! Not exactly maybe a TV show? But not *better* just the same

BQ6: Mine is super slow. Usually so slow I sometimes give up

The main two themes of mine are individualism and lust for power.

BQ: Not at all. Currently it's "I Can't Think of a Title" but I'm not too concerned about that at this point :)

BQ2: I would understand since my favorite character isn't particularly good at the beginning, but I would hope they change their mind as she develops throughout the story.

BQ3: I HATE plotting. I have so many scenes running around in my head, so it's annoying to sit down and make an order of them, etc. Researching was/is actually fun at the moment.

BQ4: I like Amie Mowbray better. It sounds more elite.

BQ5: I can't see my story as anything other than a novel.

BQ6: Some days it goes faster than others. Right now it's at a dead stop because I can think of what I want to say but can't seem to phrase it eloquently.

Mine is: A human is only a tiny particle of the universe, but the spirit of a human cannot be broken by any kind of power. Or something like that.

BQ: Yes, I do.

BQ2: Well, they have full right to do so. For example, in my first published novel there is a character that I like very much, but people are annoyed by him because he is an obstacle to the main romance story. They always say to me things like this: Daniel sucks, Daniel's stupid, I hate Daniel... Which I find funny :D It's good that I made people hate him, at least. It's a success ^__^

BQ3: The fu***** placing the characters where I want them to be! The story got wild and now I cannot overpower it and force it to bend to my will.

BQ4: Amie Dean. The surname Modrean just came to my mind as a combination.

BQ5: I think it would make a better anime than a novel. I'd very much like to see it as an anime.

BQ6: It progresses like a sloth through the quick sand.

Mine - Hope is the only weapon in the war against reality.

BQ - Nope, I want to write the book first, lol.

BQ2 - I'd be pleased. I've developed that character enough for people to have an opinion on him/her. Not everyone is going to be a fan of you.

BQ3 - Uh... writing the first draft. So hard. At least when you edit you have something to work with.

BQ4 - Amie Dean if I had to pick.

BQ5 - No. I hope not.

BQ6 - I always rush through scenes, which I fix when editing.

I believe my theme would be "Don't let fear rule your life".

BQ: 0_0 I named my story After Life, but the title is still a work in progress because it sounds a bit too common....

BQ2: ...I wouldn't really care because everyone is entitled to an opinion. But hey, I grow to like my characters and TRY to make them as unique as I can, but sometimes they can be a bit cliche.

BQ3: >.> Oh, god, my PLOTTING! XD I hate the way I plot. It's almost like a character pops up in my head and outlines a story as if it were for an eleven year old, only with vulgar. *Yep, Jun and Kei ended up forming part of After Life for me since it's Jun's story overall.*

BQ4: 0_0 Mowbray sounds very unique, and I prefer uniqueness any day.

BQ5: Seeing as how my story actually IS Japan-based, I think it'd be a great manga series! ^_^ Only problem--I'm not good at drawing anymore.

BQ6: I work pretty fast when it comes to hand-writing my stories. I finished After Life within three months, and it's well over 100 pages of work. Editing, however? LA-ZY times ten.

^_^ Well, this was fun~

I love your theme, it's very true :3

Mine would be...hm...."The world is filled with deceivers and liars, hold close to what is true."

BQ: nope not yet. Not going to worry about it until laters.

BQ2: author's prerogative, if the character really works well in the story, then tough noogies! (unless the editor or publisher pushes for a change, then sad fais)

BQ3: probably the editing ._.

BQ4: I actually like Amie Mowbray :)

BQ5: hm..... mine could work as all 3 actually (yay for me!) xD

BQ6: oh.... it's crawling! It makes Gary the Snail look fast (been too busy to do anything.... plus procrastination. meh, it's for my pleasure anyways.)

I'm not sure exactly what my theme is

Bq1: yeah but it probably will change by the time I'm done writing it

Bq2: it's their opinion

Bq3:editing and proofreading

Bq4: amie mowbrey but if you have it in your story, the first time you say the last name put in '()' the pronunciation.

Bq5: nah I think books are the best of them so it should be one

Bq6: I'm slow but detailed and how ive written in the past is where the story has not much of a plot until the last pages(they were tiny tiny books for school

And I'm a giant procrastinator but I write on my iPod touch which is with me everywhere so if I'm ever bored I can write which helps
2011-05-30 05:28:00 UTC
I'm not quite sure of mine yet...something along the lines of "You can't control Fate." Or "Thoughts are infectious."

BQ: Yes :). It's the Thought That Counts. It's about mind control. Kind of.

BQ2: It depends on who that person was. I'd try to take it as constructive criticism.

BQ3: I'm still in the middle of writing...but I think the editing will be the worst.

BQ4: Amie Dean.

BQ5: Definitely not. It wouldn't make sense as a comic :P

BQ6: Ditto! Especially with school :P

i guess mine would be. "Life is what you make it.

BQ1: Yes i do.

BQ2: Not everyone thinks the same and not everyone likes the same qualities in a character. Wouldn't really effect me if it was only one person.

BQ3: I love it all but...the researching cause some times its like a wild goose chase.

BQ4: Mowbray, its very interesting and i like it.

BQ5: Maybe an anime, it possibly could but i prefer it a book :]

Uhh...... I have a theme, I just can't describe it.

BQ: Yep, Fascination.

BQ2: That's happened before to me. They told me my character was an idiot. I was offended, but I got over it. It's kind of like overhearing someone doesn't like a friend. You can't change their opinion.

BQ3: The beginning. I couldn't figure out where to begin at all. I'm excited to get to the middle of the story.

BQ4: Amie Dean.

BQ5: I doubt it. There's too much to describe and too much back story for it to have a plot be engaging enough as a TV show.

BQ6: I've been told I need to slow down a lot. It's one of my weaker points. :)

BQ: Yes. "Mad House" (Don't any of you take it now!)

BQ: It's finished, it's called: Into the Shadows

BQ2: I'd probably get mad at first, but then wouldn't care. They're real people to me, and you have to get used to it when people judge who you hang out with.

BQ3: The editing! I still haven't finished editing!

BQ4: Amie Mowbray

BQ5: At first I thought yes, but now I realize it couldn't be animated.
