Oo! Oo! A fun interesting question with lots of BQs! Sign me up! ^.^
My theme would be "Trials and hardships will make us stronger if we let them." We all have to go through tough times, and we can learn more from them than anything else. Or, we can sit around feeling sorry for ourselves and watch as the trials tear us down. That's the theme of my current novel :)
BQ: Do you already have a title in mind/store for your novel?
>> Uh, no, not yet. I'm working on it, but I don't think I'm going to title it until I get further along in the story.
BQ2: How would you feel if someone said they weren't very fond of a character in your novel which happened to be your favourite?
>> I would shake it off and keep writing about them. Everyone has different opinions, and they're entitled to theirs. I'm also entitled to my opinion though, so I wouldn't change it a bit. If it was a publisher or editor or a ton of people who said they didn't like the character, I'd try to find out why and improve it, but just one person wouldn't faze me.
BQ3: What stage of writing your novel did/do you dislike the most: the plotting, the researching, the writing, the editing, etc.?
>> Plotting. I hate plotting with a passion, so it's a good thing that plotting isn't really required. I've met authors who don't do any plotting before hand at all. They just sit down and start writing, and the plot ends up creating itself, so to speak. I do use the seven point plotting system (I map out seven of the most important turning points in the novel), but that's the extent of my outlining and other such plotting.
BQ4: Do you like the sound of Amie Dean or Amie Mowbray (MO-bree) better? It's for an elite family in my novel. Mowbray is a French surname associated with nobility and Dean is ... well, Dean.
>> I like Amie Dean better. It flows well and I like the sound of it. Also, the two names compliment each other nicely.
BQ5: Do you think your story would/could make a better comic/manga/tv show than a novel?
>> Maybe, but then again, maybe not. I think it would work well as any of those or as a novel. I just happen to be a talented writer and a horrible artist and/or actor haha :)
BQ6: Last one! What's your average pace at which your novel progresses? Mine sort of crawls ... because I procrastinate too much. ):
>> I'm working off and on when it comes to the actual novel because I've spent a lot of time on the other elements of the novel (the language, the character profiles, the maps and location names, etc.)
FUN QUESTION! Here's a star for you * :)
