I'm 14, but i'm in a gifted program at school (god i hate when people say this but seriously) and i consider myself to be fairly advanced because reading is definitely my strong suit (: i'd like a really generic book that has the same plot as like every other book because those are always fun, and i also really liked the hunger games trilogy, percy jackson, harry potter, etc. and no i didn't enjoy twilight. thanks (:

I love Graceling and Fire by Kristin Cashore.

In Graceling the protagonist is Katsa, and if you liked Katniss in The Hunger Games you'll like this because Katsa is a very strong female character, just like Katniss. It's a great book, and possibly my favorite book ever which is saying something because I like a lot of books.

I also like the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead.

The first time I read the first book in this series, I didn't like it enough to continue. Luckily about a year later, I gave them a second chance and loved them. The series is great, and written really well.

And I saw someone said that City of Bones, is really bad, and I wanted to say that I completely disagree. It's a great book and the beginning of a series.

Those are just a few books I like. I really think you should try them!

I hope I helped!

Ahh omg omg omg :] ... hunger games awesome!!! :] ...

kay anyways you should get the maze runners = kid who gets put into this place called the glade. He awakes with no memory besides his own name! When he arrives he meets other kids that age with the exact same problem. They are all trying to figure a way to get out of this huge maze. Not a ordinary maze... No one wants to be out there after dark.

:] ......

Mhkay another.. ermm Dr Franklins Island= plane crash on a island... three kids survive... Someones watching them... Was it really a plane "accident" ?

hahaha its good..

errrrrr ... Sorry i read very VERY few chapter books even though im fully aware im capable:] (14 same as you) read comics (^_^)

kay heres one. Its called Stormbreaker. Its actually in a series... Stormbreaker by Anthony Horowitz is the first of the series. Anyway.. kinda cheesy.. but.. kay...

Teenage spy.

KAY dont go there. not as bad as you think! The kids 14. His parents died in a plane crash... "coughs" and he went to stay with his uncle. Then his uncle dies in a car accident. They say it was cause he wasent wearing a seat belt but the main charachter (Alex rider) new better than that. He always wore his seatbelt. So Alex went to the junk yard to check out the car... and instead he found bullets on the side of the car and on the seat cushion... blood stains...

....He has the fighter instinct even though hes age 14.

His uncle was on a mission. Was killed. The people who hired the uncle saw the potential in alex because he was under age and no one would suspect him. They black mail him for working for them. ---- i REALLY recomend this. SO SO SO MUCH :] ... the first one isent my favorite though.

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

Try Everlost, Inkheart, and Hush Hush.

They are all fantasy, and very mysterious and interesting. Oh, and they all have series, that aren't nearly as good as the first books.

If you like realistic fiction, I reccomend The Truth About Forever, and Dreamland both by Sarah Dessen.

A book is more advanced and is still VERY interesting is Shutter Island.
