I like dark-themed, fantasy, gory, horror, thriller, demented, and magical books. I'm okay with romance in a book, but it it's something overly corny, please don't suggest it. I like books that have a dark sense to them and are gory. Books that are based around insanity are also okay.
Fantasy is something I love as well. I tend to enjoy them more than most realistic books unless those books have the themes listed above.
Few I've read:
Tithe
Vilant
Ironside
The Summoning
The Awakening
Percy Jackson Series
Daughter of Destiny Series
Hush, Hush
Harry Potter Series
Twilight (Though I didn't like it)
Thriller One and Two
Blood and Chocolate

I'd rather not have it about vampires and/or werewolves unless it is really interesting. I'm just skin of seeing it. I'm into ghost-related books now as well. So those are welcomed.

You might PEEPS by Scott Westerfield. Forget about the blurb on the back of it, it doesn't really describe the book well, and you'll probably get put off LOL

There's a sequel to Percy Jackson called "The Lost Heroes', I haven't read it myself but apparently some of the old characters some back.

You must read Wheel Of Time. I'm fairly sure you will love it. It's an epic series. In every sense. I haven't finished the series, no one has actually, the last book comes out this year. People who HAVE read up till the most recent book tell me it'd worth every second and every penny. SO read it!

"Weaveworld", by Clive Barker. Pretty dark, has a significant amount of magic, and the plot revolves around an alternate dimension under attack by a world destroying entity whose true form has never been seen. The imagery gets very surreal and even the parts of the story that take place in the normal world are often relatively weird.

No vamps or lycanthropes that I remember. Just beware that it is not for children. There are significant amounts of gore and quite a bit of sex along with a plot that is occasionally hard to follow.

comprehend you mentioned no vampire books...yet i think of Twilight is sweet sized! that's a stable e book and it somewhat is in a people standpoint, no longer a vampires! it is likewise a movie. there is: Twilight; New Moon; Eclipse; and Breaking break of day... in spite of the undeniable fact that Breaking break of day isn't out in the cinema's yet... If no longer Twilight, then how approximately some Jaqueline Wilson books? they're extraordinary!!! and somewhat humorous. desire I helped(:
