Interview with a Vampire (Anne Rice)

Nora Roberts has several romance series including a vampire / were / witch series

Darren Shan

Hunger Games

Blue Bloods

Um, hmm. I recently re-read "Dragon Sword and Wind Child." By Noriko Ogiwara. It's based on the Japanese myth of the Magatama. (you may or may not know her as a manga artist now) It's a good book, no it's not a comic.

I like to think it's a good mix of Fantasy, Action and Romance. Basically, its about a girl that is a priestess and keeps being reborn but is making the same mistakes over and over again and she has to break the cycle. I hope you give it a chance. and Good luck :)

Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead: Now this one I like. Character development, plot, action, romance--they're all there. I strongly recommend this series.

Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr: Awesome. Very good plot, quite detailed.

LOTR by J.R.R. Tolkien: He is also a genius. Wonderfully detailed world.

Sophie Kinsella's work: Very funny. If you want to read something light and fun that you can just breeze by, read her works.

The Dark Half by Stephen King: The most amazing plot I've read it now. The author is BRILLIANT !

And roam around on Fictionpress, good stories stuffed up there.

'The Princess Bride' by William Goldman. It is A-Mazing!

Also, I'm kinda in love with Stephen King at the moment... you should read 'the Shining'. BUT only if you enjoy supernatural horror.

And also try 'the Hunger Games' trilogy (can't remember the author, sorry) and 'Shiver' by Maggic Stiefvater.

:)

EDIT: My suggestions don't really have 'girl troubles' - they are more fantasy/action I guess (with a little romance XD)

Oh, and by the way, how I find my books is on www.goodreads.com where you can check out lists of books, see reviews, etc. Its actually a really good site. I recommend you check it out.

I liked Graceling by Kristin Cashore very much. Good world building, three-dimensional characters, swift pace that kept me turning pages, and characters I came to care about very much. I don't do this very often, but with this book the minute I finished it, I went back to the beginning to read it again. First time through, I rushed to see what was going to happen next, the second read was to savor the quality of the writing. Very well done.

ERAGON-I love that. The sky village if your a girl (I am) then stuff like wicked lovely. and I hate twilight too. The obernewtyn chronicles by Isobelle Carmody are quite gripping, the second books the best though. Not a simple read I must warn.

Not so terribly long ago, I discovered a little something called "The Ranger's Apprentice" series. And fell in love.
