Invisible Monsters by Chuck Palahniuk.

Best book ever. I've recommended it to many people and they all loved it. Eventually word got around and my entire senior class was reading it.

Awesome books for enlightenment and real-life "magic" are:

By Jane Roberts:

"Seth Speaks"

"The Nature of Personal Reality"

"The Unknown Reality," Volumes 1 and 2

Any of her other books if the above titles appeal to you;

By Neale Donald Walsch:

"Conversations with God," books 1,2,and 3

"Home with God: In a Life that Never Ends"

"Friendship with God"

By Deepak Chopra:

"The Book of Secrets"

Along with some very profound and challenging ideas, I like that these books don't push any specific religious agenda; they are spiritual in a very ecumenical sense. Also, if you like Jane Roberts' work, there's some very interesting video of her on youtube, I think the only filmed interview with her, from the early 1970's. I've read all of the above titles within the last year, and have become a fan of each author. Walsch's books are probably the "easiest" reads among these three authors.

Depends on your taste in literature. A good non-fiction book is Tuesdays With Morrie by Mitch Albom. A good fantasy book that's not too scary (it's about vampires) is the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer. A good romance book is A Walk To Remember by Nicholas Sparks. And a good Christian book

(about missionaries) is Escape From Kabul by Eberhard Muehlan.

A fascinating biography that is getting a lot of attention is "Ibn al-Haytham: First Scientist" by Bradley Steffens. It tells the inspiring, true story of a medieval Muslim scholar who overcame bouts of mental illness to develop the scientific method two hundred years before the Europeans learned of it—by reading his books. It was just chosen by California Readers to be part of the 2008 California Collection. You can find reviews of the book and a sample chapter at http://www.ibnalhaytham.net/

Good Omens, by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman.

So far, everyone I've talked to who has read it liked it. It's an interesting story with clever writing that's often humorous. The style is light-hearted, but it's the kind of book that stays with you for a while after you read it.

Hmm... I assume you are 22 - 23 since you have 85 in your name. now it would be easier if Id know your sex.

I love deep going books like Waris Dirii - Desert Flower, or Dave Pelzer - The lost boy series... However, the Twilight Series by Stephanie Meyer is fun to read and not as heavy material as the other two... I could also suggest the Neverending Story by Michael Eden with is just totaly fun to read.

One thing you should bear in mind while reading books is to have an interest in it. As they say when in Rome behave as the Romans do.While reading a work of fiction do not have any background music in mind that perhaps you are perhaps wasting your time. Diversion is also a requirement of human mind.

I reproduce the first page of the relevant website containing 10 entries. There are many more pages ahead containing information about more books. Hope this helps you finding a book that would interest you. Enjoy reading.
