Question:
Made a tiny typo in a writing comp! Already submitted!! Will that disqualify me?

I know, I should have picked it up before sending! The thing is, I had read it through at least 3x, and somehow it still escaped me. I really thought I'd fixed everything!

The error is so small that I didn't notice until re-reading it at a leisurely pace, for the 4th time. Just a one-letter-word typo. Doesn't change the meaning of the sentence, it just looks clumsy. :(

I'm a perfectionist, so it bothers me a lot, lol.

Would writing comp. judges bin my entry on the basis of something like that? The terms and conditions don't mention anything...

Probably wasn't going to win anyway... just want some reassurance! :D

I have 2 questions and a comment.

1.) Which was the word that you committed the error?

2.) Is it a miscellaneous writing comp?

I have a teacher who had one typo and he missed out on getting the teacher of the year award.

Well, If it did say that if you misspelled words or committed any errors and that bLah blAh blaH is gonna happen in the Terms and Conditions I wouldn't count on being eligible. However, you read it for yourself and it said nothing about it, so if they're understanding the main point I bet you'll be fine.

Good Luck!

No it won't disqualify you. It is the main contents that matters.

Thanks for the answers.

Anthony, it was a preposition where it wasn't needed ('a'). I must have cut a word out,

and forgot to take it away.

And yes, any style of writing okay, up to a certain amount of words.

So, it's not a biggie, but because it's a writing comp after all, it's just not a good look. :P

They might mark me down, but hopefully the content keeps my entry in the game. :)

Thanks again!
