The theme of my story is love, death, and loss. Oh, and death. Lots of death.
BQ: What makes your story different from everyone else's?
There is some that is the same, and some that is different. The underworld is based on Greek and Roman mythology, but that's the only mythological element. It's a YA, which isn't different. However, a YA being told from the boy's perspective is less done. Also, the MC is the special one in most circumstances. It's about the son of the Grim Reaper, which I've looked but never found. The tone itself is very dream-like and surreal.
BQ2: Are you writing your story in your favourite genre, or just writing in the genre that's most popular at the moment?
Favorite. I've always rathered YA stories, and always favored the paranormal.
BQ3: Is there any other reason, than writing for your enjoyment, for writing a story?
It's a great stress reliever, and it makes me feel better when I've fallen into a depression. I like becoming someone else for a little bit.
BQ4: Do you want to share your story with the world or just keep it secret?
I want to share it with the world, but rather in a published format. I do share it with my family, and my writing group, and at times, with people on B&A.
BQ5: If answered 'with the world', have you thought of the agent and/or publisher you'd like to send your story to already (you can put more than one, if you want)?
I have a list. But the one I want to send it to the most is Merrilee Heifetz. She represents Neil Gaiman, Sherilyn Kenyon, and Laurell K. Hamilton. I'd love to be added to that list of best sellers.
BQ6: Are there any morals-to-the-story?
Life sucks. And then you die.
