Ok, in the 3rd Harry Potter book they explain WHY Sirius, James and Peter can turn into animals...and why they wanted to. So, Remus wouldn't be alone on the full moon nights. Yeah yeah yeah. I understand that. I've read that book atleast 5 times.
BUT in the movie its different...In the Prisoner of Azkaban movie when Sirius goes after (werewolf)Remus, Remus attacks Sirius(in dog form)
how come he attacked him then and not before when they went to school together?
Is that a mess up or are they trying to say only James as a Stag and Sirius as a Dog could control Werewolf Remus, but they couldnt do it alone...huh?

I've gotta agree with Geckoboy on this one. I think it actually did say in the book that Remus attacked Sirius, so it wasn't really a movie error. Keep in mind that as a werewolf, Remus has absolutely no control over what he does, he can't control anything because the werewolf state of mind clouds his judgement. After so many years of taking the wolfsbane potion, he was probably a little unprepared for something like that, not to mention that he probably hadn't transformed around anyone so he wasn't used to it.

A werewolf targets human blood as well, all those times with James, Peter and Sirius, they were always by themselves...I assume if there had been any humans round during Remus' transformations in the school days, James and Sirius would probably have to fight Remus too.

I remember in the book it said that Sirius took on the shape of the dog so that he could "help control" remus when he turned into a warewolf. I'm not sure which book, it's been so long since I've read them, but I do know siruis took that shape to control Remus.

After years away from his friends, Remus was not used to having anyone with him during the transformation. I doubt he was taking a Wolfsbane Potion while not at Hogwarts either. Therefore his animal/werewolf side took more power. When he changed at the end of book 3, he was not ready for it. The shock plus his recent history eliminated the idea of friends when he changed. He was going to attack everything.

Remus could take a potion so he would have his personality but it did not do anything about him turning into a werewolf shape. (Wolfsban Potion I believe). That night in the 3rd movie, Remus forgot to take the potion so he became Werewolf shape AND personality. When he was teaching, he was always "sick" at that time because he had the werewolf shape but he was perfectly safe in the castle because of the potion! Man, I can see why you were confused!

The author of the book probably had years to work out every little detail of the plot. The director of the movie was on a very constricting timetable. There are, of course, more plot inconsistencies in the movie than in the book, simply because of this (not the Rowling's perfect. There are a lot of plot issues, particularly with dates and ages, in the books as well).

It is never said in the books that he didn't attack them as kids but what I think is that the film makers added Remus' attack to the movie to add drama.

often movies are a little different than books they are made from.

I think that Lupin-wolf was going after the kids so Sirius got in the way to stop him. That's why they were fighting. When they went to school together, there weren't any humans around so Lupin-wolf was calmer.

It seemed as if Sirius knows what he's doing and wanted to protect Harry, Ron, and Hermione from danger. That's why he did that.

i think that they were just enraged and sirius was trying to protect them all from the raging remus. and i think the only reason he didnt attack him during school was bcuz they didnt ave a reason for him to attack them

I think it's just a mess up; in the end, the writers in the movie don't think about each character's childhood, etc (even though they should if they wanted to do it according to the books)

bye!

because remus saw sirius in his human form before he morphed and also that he was protecting humans i think. and they did not control anybody they just kepy him company.

The movies are bad. They are allways wrong.
