When I was in elementary school I remember reading a couple of books that I loved but when I try to think of the titles I draw a blank.

The First book is about a little girl that falls from a tree and breaks both her legs and when she's on bed rest her uncle or her father buys her a dollhouse with a family of dolls. At night the dolls come alive and talk and such.

The Second story is about a family of children with their mother I know that the title is something Peppers and that there is a sequel called "The Peppers all grown up" or something like that.

Any help would be awesome and hopefully I can find these books so that I can read them to my own little girl. Thanks!

AH! i recognized that first one instantly! It's called "midnight in the dollhouse" by marjorie stover. i found it last winter while i was going through all my books, and remembered liking it so much that i stopped cleaning ad re-read it. i was not disappointed. i'd definitely suggest that one.

Yes, those Peppers Ben and Polly and Joel and Davie . . . and of course the youngest, Phronsie. You met them in one of the most famous children's books of all time, "Five Little Peppers and How They Grew."

Well, now they have grown Grown up Polly, for instance, is married to Jasper. They have a family.

And Joel Joel has become a minister"

The first answer already provided you with the title of one of your books. The description of the other book for which you are searching is reminiscent of "The Doll's House" by Rumer Godden. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/014030942X/ref=cm_rdp_product_img
