Good Books for 14 Year Old Girl to Read?
Meghan

I'm not going to lie, I'm a really picky reader. But, I love reading. Since it's vacation for me, I figured I would buy some books on my new kindle, but the problem is, I'm having trouble thinking of books. So, does anyone have any ideas?

I've read:

Harry Potter. At the time, I loved it, but I now I feel like puking at the mention of it.

Twilight. I liked the romance part of it.

Kingdom Keepers. Honestly, I'm not done with the series, but I already have all the books. I LOVE them. I love Disney :D

Sarah Dessen. Not all of her books, but I like her a lot. I also have her books lined up:D (just waiting on my friend to finish reading them.)

Jillian Dodd. She is my favorite author ever. :D

What I like to read about:

Romance. I'm a sucker for romance. Nicholas Sparks, all that good stuff:D

Best friends falling in love. That always gets me.

YA (Young Adult).

What I don't like Reading

History.

Sci-fi.

Haha, I'm a really picky reader too, but here are some books I really enjoyed:

Divergent and Insurgent By Veronica Roth, which are my two favorite books of all time!

The Outsiders By S.E. Hinton

I am not a big fan of sci-fi either, but I loved the Host By Stephanie Meyer

The Hunger Games By Suzanne Collins

Matched, Crossed, and Reached all By Ally Condie (Trilogy)

Also, there are websites where you can find stuff that people have written. The books on there may not be published, but I have found some amazing stories on there that fitted what I was looking for. Websites like Wattpad and Quotev are my favorite. Hope I could help :)

Heroes of Olympus (sequel series to PJO)

The Mortal Instruments

The Infernal Devices (prequel series to The Mortal Instruments)

The Book Thief (set in Germany during WWII)

My Most Excellent Year (Doesn't look all that great, but is WAY better than any Sarah Dessen book.)

Divergent trilogy (only two are out so far)

Uglies

Midnighters

Romance- Flipped. It's cute and is kind of about first loves. There's a movie too. I've read the book and watched the movie, loved both.

Kind of adventure, and best friends falling in love, and exploring the beauty of people- I Am The Messenger. I can't eve explain it, it's just amazing.

Romance-ish- The Spectacular Now- I love the theme of this book a lot. It all about living for the moment and and learning lessons along the way. This book does involve a little bit of marijuana use though and one act of sex and a few other mentions of it. There's frequent talk and use of alcohol as well. But there is meaning.

Romance/Best friends falling in low- How To Say Goodbye In Robot. This book is about a girl who gets intrigued by this "ghost boy". He is pale and not too known around school, making him a "ghost boy". They get closer but family issues arise and cause conflict between the two.

Some of these books aren't too popular, but I love finding books and sharing about how great they are. Try your local Chapters, Indigo, Coles, or even a library. (: Happy reading!

Try Sophie Kinsella her books are really funny and they sometimes are really cheesy

I tried Pride and Prejudice and it was very enjoyable actually, yes the language is very mature but it's not that hard, and it has really helped me in English reading books like that :)

But try hush hush and Fallen

Infact Hush Hush is amazing its by Becca Frizback so yeah it is about fallen angles but I think you'll like it ;)

better watch a movie, than read a book.Of course,it is much easier to get a much better picture by watching the action(images),then browsing through all these indicated words.
