Question:
What are a few important relationships in the Harry Potter series?

I'm taking a Harry Potter literature class (yes, seriously) and have to write a three page essay on a complex, growing relationship between two characters in the series. The relationship has to contribute to a better understanding of the story as a whole, but there are bonus points involved for choosing a less obvious pair.

I'm stressing out over this, and seeing as the paper is due in a little over a week, I should probably start on it.
Can anyone help me with suggestions and perhaps a brief explanation of the growth and how they contribute to the series? Thanks!

Harry and Snape.

At first they hate each other, but at the end of " The Deathly Hallows" Harry realized that Snape was trying to protect him.

Harry and Ginny.

A first Ginny has a crush on Harry but Harry is not interested, they end up getting married though.

Harry and Dumbledore.

Dumbledore acts like a father to Harry and this does not change.

Harry and Voldemort.

They hate each other. They are more than enemies Harry ( sorry is you didn't finish the series ye) ends up killing Voldemort.

Do a little more research if you want a complex growing relationship.
