Pick up some novels with similar plots to what you have, or novels in the genre you're looking to write in. Then read, read, read. But not just for the sake of reading. Analyze how those writers carry the story. Figure out how the skim over the boring parts and make the ever day stuff interesting. Notice how they move through time. Make a note of how they describe emotions, locations, people, etc. Pay attention to how the dialogue works. If you can't write a whole novel, try writing a short story. Or take one section of your plot and just write out that scene. Sometimes you need to practice before actually writing your novel. Lastly, remember that first drafts are always crap. They are meant to be. You work your way up from there, polishing, polishing as you go. Good luck!

1) School stories is an omnibus of 7 books by P.G Wodehouse about public school life-

''the gold bat''= mostly about football - Irish boys tar and feather a mayor's statue - one of them lose a small golden bat belonging to the cricket and football captain in their school - A boy who didn't get selected for the football team destroys many students' studies.

''the head of Kay's'' = A boy(Fenn) who is good at everything is the head of a house where everyone, even the house master is horrible. He gets into an argument with the house master at the end of a term and at the next term is replaced by his friend from another house and they become enemies. He sneaks out at night to watch a play and, on seeing that 3 of his teachers are also present there, sneaks back to house, losing his cap in the process and almost gets caught by his house master. he recovers his cap as the police brought it to the headmaster along with many items stolen from the school. In the end, he and his friend become friends again and they make their house win the inter-house sports cup.

"the prefect's uncle" = A prefect's rich uncle, who happens to be four years younger to him, joins the same school as him and angers everyone with his cheekiness and then runs away from school after stealing money from a fund that was collected by his nephew.

"The pothunters"

"tales of st austin"

"the white feather" = It starts of with characters from "the gold bat" discussing how the school's sport teams have degraded after they left. I don't know what happens later as I have just started reading it

"Mike" = This story introduces Psmith, a very popular character who would later become a recurring one in P G Wodehouse's novels. A young boy who loves cricket, Mike, is taken out from his school by his father for getting complaints from all the teachers and meets Psmith with whom he has a series of adventures and misadventures.
