A novel should have as many pages as you feel would be write for the story you are trying to tell. If your story is told effectively in 100 pages then, congrats, you have written a lovely short novella. If you feel the need to extend your story to 800 pages then so be it. I think the key issue is not to overwrite on underwrite. You don't want to miss out key ideas or small parts that could be expanded, but you also do not want to spend several hundred pages rambling about something completely unrelated and unentertaining.

I'd say atleast 150-800 pages. I'm reading a 870 page book (HP 5) now, and its fine.
As many as you want. A good sized novel would be about the size of 300-500 pages.
Hope I Helped!!

*In Search of Lost Time* [Proust] has around 2,600+ pages. Fiction that has about 135 pages or less (e.g, *The Farmer's Hotel*, by John O'Hara) are typically classed as a "novelette".
So, somewhere in between those two numbers.

A Novel doesn't have to have a certain page number. You write what you need to write and that's it.

It depends on the age range. If it's for kids, it should be shorter and if it's for adults, it should be longer.

I don't think it matters, as long as it isn't too short.
