Ok, so i'm righting a novel. I have about 3 thousand words( i just started). And when i right, i don't think of anything else but the story, as if i'm reading a book and the words just flow.
My m om tells me that , to right a book, you start by doing little parts of the story, or you start in the middle. but i started at the begining. is that good or bad?

I think it's normal for you to become consumed by your novel when you're writing. It's actually good when you find yourself thinking only of the novel and its plot and so on, because it means that you are really serious about writing it, and you're simply letting the words flow into something you think sounds good. Sounds to me like you're a good author already. :)

As for starting in the middle or beginning, I think you should just do what's comfortable. Whenever I write (which is quite often), I always start from the beginning. Never in the middle. It's just how I've always written.

Hope this helped. :)

Every writer employs the method that works best for them. For me, I draft an outline and then do research on things that I need in order to make my work more credible. Then I just start typing, referring back to the research when I need to. I go from beginning to end, rarely using flashbacks. I carry a notebook with me in case I'm out and about and I think of a plot twist, perhaps rethink a device is not appropriate, etc. My works average 100,000 to 200,000 words depending on the genre.

Sometimes the best material is what you first create when it just flows. There's always room for improvement.

Moms will pretty much always say that you have a masterpiece. You'll want to try a free website like WeBook or Writer's Cafe to get some reviews by persons you don't know. Watch out for the know-it-alls who seem intent on squashing creativity. I've read a lot of their dribble and it's like watching reruns on TV Land.

That's how I work when ever I'm writing, and I have been told my work is good. Things just kind of flow from my head onto the page with little to no thought from me. I think it is a gift to be able to do this, to put such little brainpower in yet still come up with something good. Don't worry about it, everyone writes differently.

It's 'write', not 'right'. Starting in the beginning is fine, as long as you don't leave out important information or bore readers with too much detail.

Are you righting a novel? Most people write them.

Maybe you should work on your English. No publisher will take you on if it is badly written.

start off by learning how to spell and use the word "write" correctly
