~~so who will you dedicate your book to? you can write it literally as it would appear in the book.

mine will be: "For those who thought dreams were unattainable and found out otherwise." or, if i had to pick a person: "for CGP, who taught me how to read a book. not how to pronounce the words, but really read it and love every word."

quote of the day:
“Once you learn to read, you will be forever free.”

"Dedicated to my nan, Glenys Owen, who showed me how remarkable the world of writing was. Rest in peace, and thank you for the inspiration and so much more."

And here is an awesome quote I found awhile ago: "I'm all in favour of taking dangerous weapons away from idiots. Let's start with typewriters." =D

Well, this might be kind of long, but here goes:

"To those who helped me along the way. They told me not to give up; to try, try, try again. And to those, I owe a special dedication:

Mom - You told me that if I set my heart to something, I could do it easily; possibly in the blink of an eye. You were always there by my side and stil haven't left it.

Holly, my dear little sister - You were a pain at times, when I asked if I could read you something from my story, you'd say no. But, with a little persuasion, you'd finally give in and listen...then would wind up asking for more. You helped me put in the tiny details that attract readers.

Jacqueline, my eldest sister - You helped me figure out that nothing will be perfect the first time through and to keep trying until I get it.

Amanda, my older sister - You helped my understand that even though I may have high hopes of things I may never achieve, I could still try. And when I said I wanted to be an author, you told me that I'd succeed and publish a book the first time through.

Stephanie, my "twin sister" - You were always my writing buddy. We started out by writing Harry Potter fanfictions together and here I am now - you helped me to where I am today. Without you helping me in my interest of writing, i never would be where I am today.

LaCross, by best friend of many years - You always told me I was mental, that I was crazy and always talked nonsense. But the moment I said that I wanted to be an author, you retorted with an astonished expression: "Noelle, that's the first thing you've said that made sense in YEARS." You helped me understand that no matter how crazy a person is, they will always have something true to say that comes from their heart.

And lastly, to my dear friends on Yahoo! Answers - Corny, yes, i know, to put this in a novel series when they are just people from a website, but they also contributed to the journey down the path to get where I am today. Thank you, my dear friends, because you are all an inspiration.

That's prett much what it'd say haha. :)

I honestly don't know.. My friends are in no way supportive of my writing, My mom just pets me on the head and says I should be a doctor (no matter how many times I fail math and Science to prove that i SHOULD NOT), My dad doesn't even know I write.. And that's pretty much all I've got..

Its Official: Unless I find a great boyfriend and or friend that will except my writing, I am dedicating my book to BA!

I don't have the words yet, but I'd like to come up with something about those who wish they had a life different than the one they do, who dreamed for something more exciting. I know it's lame, but here's a quote I like to make my post worth reading :)

Bruce O Boston (About finishing your editing) "... the process never ends; the clock merely runs out, and the time comes to tear the paper from the typewriter and press it into the hands of the next editor. Each piece must be sent off the way the girl back home sends her young soldier off to war, with a heart that longs for just one more day, hour, minute."

A general "concept" dedication:

"For all those who fought against the odds and came out still standing strong."

Nearly everything seem to go wrong for the characters in my book, so this is a good dedication since it really relates to them, and a lot of people as well.

A person:

"To LH and the silent inspiration I drew from you."

^That's me being a stalker and drawing inspiration from someone I'm barely on a first-name basis with.

or...

"For the family I never knew."

^I've got family, but they're kind of screwed up and a lot of them had passed away or don't give a care about me. I've always been interested in genealogy and family history, but those in my family honestly don't seem to give me a second thought.

My best friend :) "To my best friend, BR, who's always there, with a smile for laughing, a shoulder for crying, and a heart of gold that always helps my self esteem a little." But I'm not focusing on publishing. I write for fun.

"Read the best books first, or you may not have a chance to read them at all."

I would dedicate my book to my brother Preston and my (now ex boyfriend) Vince.

"The emotion put into this book would not exist if not for the support of my brother Preston and dear friend Vince. Preston, thank you for being the true definition of a big brother. You guarded me through life and encouraged me to look forward to my future. And to Vince, thank you for all the countless nights of listening to my revisions and giving your support."

And of course B&A would be listed in the back extra thank yous with a few special shout outs to certain contacts :)

If I ever finish a story and manage to get it published... I would probably dedicate it to my Grandma. She has cancer, and she will not live to see my book published. But, she's very supportive of me, and she'll read anything of mine I let her. She'd be so proud to see me publish, and because she won't be able to, I could dedicate it to her, for her. I'd dedicate it to my family in general, really. My Mom, who is my biggest fan. She points out any errors she sees in my writing, supports me, she even gives me pep talks when I have writer's block. My Dad, who always shows interest in my writing. My aunts, who pester me to let them read more. They keep me motivated and support me. I don't know what I'd do without them.

"For my friends who I have lost to time, death, or circumstance... for all the friends who have known me as I really am, and, finally for those - anonymous or well known - who've shared this life with me: this is for you."

Grim, perhaps in the beginning. But.. I only began writing to siphon some of my grief when a good friend of mine died in a car accident a few years ago. Thus the mention.

For Casey: You never get tired of my insane stories do you?

For everyone who were there in the process: your putdowns made me stronger to prepare for the rest of the road and the supporters made me run the way.

I really loved yours, they really inspired me !

Hmm.. My first book will be dedicated to my mother I think, I do love that woman.

I could possibly write it like this;

To my best friend, who is also my mother

Pretty cheesy and simplistic but not something I have given much thought to..

I think it would go something along the lines of: "For Robert and Allie, thank you for pretending to listen as I figured out this book." or "For Robert, who was always there to listen. Without you this would not have been possible."

I would probably thank the rest of my family and friends in the acknowledgments.

Well if we're talking about people, my best friend has the nickname Ned (cos her last name is Kelly), and she is the one i can always turn to for help when I am writing.

"For Neddie Kelly, the Ninja who's always there to help me discover"

If it's to anybody, it would be

My grandad died a couple of years ago out of old age ( 80s) and he also had a stroke. He couldn't speak or walk very well. I got my story idea on the very day of his funeral. In a way... a good thing came out of a bad thing.

You are my reason. Thank you."

But it'll probably be written as:

你是我的原因。謝謝。」

I'll never translate it into English if I ever get published. She is just that important to me.
