Sid walked over to his window-sill and sat on the ledge, he shivered as he remembered the horrible image of the monster stumbling into his room. The monster was the same height as him, the height of a seven-year-old. It had green skin, with orangey-yellow spots on, no hair and pointy ears. It’s eyes looked like fire, a fire that never goes out. It had purple lips with green gew dripping out, when the gew fell it settled on his black toes. It had sharp pointed teeth which probably could have cut through Sid’s body, very easily. It’s fangs were the scariest; they were about as long as your middle finger. They were so long that they stuck out the bottom of it’s mouth, so you could just see the sharp points. Sid looked out of the window and tried to think of a name for the monster…

I'm thinking Sid is a curious and clever 7 year old with good observation skills.

He would call the monster something like

"Sniglepuf"

I presume he was 7, so we have to be thinking along the lines of a seven year old.

As Sid is short for sidney have the monster be his alter ego and call it Yen dis or Disney. :+}

"about as long as your middle finger"

As this book is aimed at young children (assumption), that's not going to be very long (and you're going to have a lot of them sticking it up to see just how long it actually is =o)

I'm crap with names, sorry in advance;

The Blunderbat

The diseased teddybear

The slaverer
