Twilight:

"And so the lion fell in love with the lamb. What a stupid lamb. What a sick sadistic lion."

Harry Potter:

"After all, to the well-organized mind, death is but the next great adventure"

"Scars can come in useful. I have one myself above my left knee which is a perfect map of the London Underground."

"I believe your friends Misters Fred and George Weasley were responsible for trying to send you a toilet seat. No doubt they thought it would amuse you."

"Alas, earwax"

"Curiosity is not a sin.... But we should exercise caution with our curiosity... yes, indeed."

"It looks like he's eating her face, doesn't it?" said Ginny dispassionately. "But I suppose he's got to refine his technique somehow."

"I don't know who Maxime thinks she's kidding. If Hagrid's half-giant, she definitely is. Big bones... the only thing that's got bigger bones than her is a dinosaur."

"Brilliant! It's Potions last thing on Friday! Snape won't have the time to poison us all!"

"Yeah, Quirrell was a great teacher. There was just that minor drawback of him having Lord Voldemort sticking out of the back of his head!"

Harry Potter! Twilight does NOT even come near. It's quite traditional and no originality, besides for the werewolves. When Twilight simply got here out, nobody even knew approximately it, it used to be simplest whilst New Moon got here out that the sequence grew to become preferred. This used to be considering there have been simplest vampires in Twilight however werewolves and vampires in New Moon. I nonetheless just like the Twilight sequence very a lot, it's intriguing to learn ( Jacob is almightyy. x] ) however Harry Potter has a lot more movement, journey and is continuously sudden. Not such a lot with Twilight. To the persons who trust the quote at the jacket of Breaking Dawn ( 'Move over Harry Potter' ) that is so NOT precise. D< My favourite quote is from the primary booklet, whilst Harry is at the instruct looking the Weasleys speakme external, and Mrs. Weasley feedback on a few grime on Ron's nostril, and some of the twins ( it isn't unique which one ) says 'Aaah, has ickle Ronnie acquired somefink on his nosie?' That's lovable. GO WEASLEY TWINS!! : D

"The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death."

The Harry Potter series have so many effective quotes though that it's hard to choose just one (even if you said from book seven).

As much as I hate Twilight, I do like the line that says "When life offers you a dream so far beyond any of your expectations, it's not reasonable to grieve when it comes to an end."

Twilight (Well, actually, New Moon):

"Well I'm sorry i'm not the right kind of monster for you, Bella. I guess i'm just not as great as a bloodsucker, am i?" -- Jacob Black, New Moon

"Where you are is the right place for me." --Bella Swan, New Moon

"You... don't... want me?"

"No."

--Edward leaves Bella, New Moon

"Did all of that really happen then?"

"That depends. If you're referring to us nearly being massacred in Italy, then yes."

"How strange. I really went to Italy. Did you know i'd never been further east than Albuquerque?"

--Bella & Edward, New Moon

"So are you going to be my Valentine? Since you didn't get me a fifty-cent box of candy, it's the least you can do."

- Jacob Black, New Moon

"Go home, Bella. I cant' hang out with you anymore."

--Jacob Black, New Moon

"Could you... wel, try not to be a... werewolf?"

--Bella Swan, New Moon

"Yeah, I miss you, too. A lot. Doesn't change anything. Sorry."

--Jacob Black, Eclipse

"You. Got. Food. In. My hair."

--Rosalie Hale, Breaking Dawn

"Life sucks, and then you die. Yeah, I should be so lucky."

--Jacob Black, Breaking Dawn

Harry Potter:

Weasley, HP7

"IF WE DIE FOR THEM I'LL KILL YOU HARRY!" - Ron Weasley, HP7

"ARE YOU A WITCH OR NOT?" - Ron Weasley, HP1

"Wit beyond measure is a man's greatest treasure." - Ravenclaw diadem, HP7

"Hello minister! Did I mention I'm resigning?" - Percy Weasley, HP7

"And that's the second time we've saved your life tonight, you two-faced bastard!" - Ron Weasley, HP7

-Ron-

"We know who we are, he's gred and I am forge."

-George-

"Give her hell for us peeves."

-Fred or George-

"He must have knew I would run away, No, said Harry, he knew you would always want to come back."

-Ron and Harry- When Ron comes back, DH

"Try for some remorse riddle, it's your one last chance, it's all you've got left. I've seen what you'll become, try for some remorse."

Harry to voldy in the end, which was amazing.

*I also love that Harry calls voldt tom or riddle, he is so not scared of him. :)

"there's that silver lining I was looking for."

-Ginny just before she plants harry with the most epic snog in DH-

*What a birthday present. ;)

"Here lies Dobby, a free elf."

"Ohhh look now we are identical."

-Fred or george, hahaha when they take the potion and turn into Harry in DH

"Look mistltoe...probably infested with nargles."

-Luna- Who is so awsome

I am sure there is more, I just cannot think of them with out my HP quote book. But mostly anything fred and george say.

As for twilight, sorry I have read the whole series and can think of none. I do like when Jacob is totally owning edward in the tent when they are trying to keep bella warm. I do not recall what all Jacob says but I do remember loving it.

I don't remember which HP this one is from, or the exact words xD, but it's when Dumbledore picks up Harry and brings him to Ron's house, and Dumbledore wanted Harry to check that it was really Dumbledore and he was like "You could have said something like "What's your favorite flavor of jam?" "For future reference, Harry, it's raspberry".

It's my all time favorite Harry Potter quote

xD

And some of my favorite Twilight quotes are:

"So did you stab Edward Cullen with a pencil, or what?" - Mike

"Before you, Bella, my life was like a moonless night..." (The entire passage) -- Edward Cullen

"So, are you going to be my valentine, or what? Since you didn't buy me a 50 cent box of candy it's the least you could do," -Jacob Black "What exactly does that entail?" -Bella Swan "Oh, the usual, slave for live kinda thing,"-- Jacob Black

"And as I stared at it, I suddenly thought of Jacob," Bella's thoughts as she saw the wolves for the first time in the meadow.

"Fall down again, Bella?" -- Emmett. "No, Emmett, I punched a werewolf in the face," -- Bella

On Lily and James' tombstone: "The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death."

Something connected with Ariana--Kendra's or her gravestone, perhaps?:"Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."

Harry: "Death's got an invisiblity cloak?"

Ron: "Well, yeah, so he can sneak up on them. He gets tired of flapping his arms and shrieking... Anyway, Hermione, continue."

Those are my favorite Deathly Hallows quotes. Note that they're most likely paraphrased (except the first one) because I'm doing this from memory. I absolutely despise Twilight, so, sorry, none there.

From HP7:

"Oi! There's a war going on here!"

"Not my daughter you b****!"

“For instance, this new idea that You-Know-Who can kill with a single glance from his eyes. That’s a basilisk, listeners. One simple test: Check whether the thing that’s glaring at you has got legs. If it has, it’s safe to look into its eyes, although if it really is You-Know-Who, that’s still likely to be the last thing you ever do.”

"Bless him [Kreacher], and when you think I used to fantasize about cutting off his head and sticking it to the wall!"

“I’m starving! All I’ve had since I bled half to death is a couple of toadstools!"

"And that's the second time we've saved your life tonight, you two-faced b******!"

"Albus Severus..you were named for the two headmasters of Hogwarts. One of them was a Slytherin and he was probably the bravest man I ever knew."

"Imagine losing fingernails, Harry! That really puts our sufferings into perspective, doesn't it?"

"Look...at...me..." he [Snape] whispered.

The green eyes found the black, but after a second, something in the depths of the dark pair seemed to vanish, leaving them fixed, bland, and empty. The hand holding Harry thudded to the floor, and Snape moved no more."

Snape: "Always"

Not HP 7 but it is an awesome quote nonetheless:

Fred and George: " 'Give her hell from us, Peeves.' And Peeves, who Harry had never seen take an order from a student before, swept his belled hat from his head and sprang to a salute as Fred and George wheeled about…"

I, Lord Voldemort have two quotes that are my favorite:

Speaking to Dumbledore: "Greatness inspires envy, envy enganders spite, spite spawns lies. You must know this Dumbledore." ~Lord Voldemort

To Harry: "I am going to sit here and watch you die Harry Potter, take your time I'm in no hurry." ~Lord Voldemort

I, Lord Voldemort am the greatest wizard of all time!
That One Guy! (CrazyCatLady)

I'm not using the exact words so I won't use quotes. (I don't have my book near me.)

Twilight: Why am I covered in feathers? I bit a pillow or two, but that's not important. You bit a pillow? Why? Bella....

HP: "What do you mean I'm not brave in bed." <-----Taken very out of context.
?
2009-10-24 06:46:15 UTC
"Not my Daughter, You B*tch!!!!" --Molly Weasley <----- Yeah, i'm pretty shallow. If I can think of any more, i'll add it.

"You still don't get it, Riddle, do you?" ---Harry. I love the way he called him Tom Riddle. Who he really is.

"Of course it's all in your head, Harry, but why on earth do think that it isn't real?" --Dumbledore

"The wand chooses the wizard" Mr. Ollivander

"HARRY, IF WE DIE FOR THEM I'LL KILL YOU!"--Ron

"You see... I'm holy. HOLEY, Fred, geddit?" ---George

Weasley

"Well, I don't know how to break this to you but I think they MIGHT have noticed we broke into Gringotts." --Ron

"Albus Severus, you were named for two headmasters of Hogwarts. One of them was from Slytherin and he was probably the bravest man I ever knew."--Harry. I love snape.

"After all this time?" "Always" --Snape

"Look...at...me" --Snape. He wanted to see Lily's eyes. But there is controversy on that one. Some say that he wanted Harry to look into him and his real life.

"I am not scared Harry...I am with you..." --Dumbledore

and lastly, "His scar had not pained Harry for nineteen years. All was well"

“If I could dream at all, it would be about you. And I’m not ashamed of it.”

-Edward Cullen <----- I don't like Twilight really, and that's my only favorite quote.

"Alas, earwax." Probably my fav. line in HPSS from Dumbledore. And Ron saying "I'd like to have a look at Uranus" (or something along those lines) in Divination. That's when they really start showing that they are growing up. *tear*

The Philosopher's Stone

"Welcome! Welcome to the new year at Hogwarts! Before we begin our banquet, I would like to say a few words. And here they are: Nitwit! Blubber! Oddment! Tweak! Thank you!"

"Scars can come in useful. I have one myself above my left knee which is a perfect map of the London Underground."

"I had a dream about a motorbike," said Harry, remembering suddenly, "It was flying."

Uncle Vernon nearly crashed into the car in front. He turned right round in his seat and yelled at Harry, his face like a gigantic beetroot with a moustache, "MOTORBIKES DON'T FLY."

"Blown up a toilet seat? We've never blown up a toilet. Great idea though, thanks mum."

"Dobby is used to death threats, Sir. Dobby gets them five times a day at home."

"Watching the news ..." he said scathingly. "I'd like to know what he's really up to. As if a normal boy cares what's on the news - Dudley hasn't got a clue what's going on; doubt he knows who the Prime Minister is!"

"I'll look for him later, I expect I'll find him upstairs crying his eyes out over my mother's old knickers or something. Of course, he might have crawled into the airing cupboard and died ... but I musn't get my hopes up."

"Think I did," said Lupin seriously, as they joined the crowd thronging around the front doors eager to get out into the sunlit grounds. "One: he's sitting on my chair. Two: he's wearing my clothes. Three: his name is Remus Lupin."

"He is like a drug to you, Bella." His voice was still gentle, not at all critical. "I see that you can't live without him now. It's too late. But I would have been healthier for you. Not a drug; I would have been the air, the sun."

The corner of my mouth turned up in a wistful half smile. "I used to think of you that way, you know. Like the sun. My personal sun. You balanced out the clouds nicely for me."

He Sighed. "The clouds I can handle. But I can't fight with an eclipse."

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

# Albus Dumbledore

It is a curious thing, Harry, but perhaps those who are best suited to power are those who have never sought it. Those who, like you, have leadership thrust upon them, and take up the mantle because they must, and find to their own surprise that they wear it well.

# Dudley Dursley

(to Harry) I don't think you're a waste of space.

# Albus Dumbledore

Do not pity the dead, Harry, pity the living. Above all, pity those who live without love. By returning you may ensure that fewer souls are maimed and fewer families are torn apart. If that seems to you a worthy goal, then we say goodbye for the present.

# Albus Dumbledore

Power was my weakness and my temptation.

# Luna Lovegood

(after McGonagall says Lord Voldemort is attacking) Ooh! We can say that name now?

# Albus Dumbledore

That which Voldemort does not value, he takes no trouble to understand. Of house-elves and children's tales, of love, loyalty, and innocence, Voldemort knows and understands nothing. Nothing. That they all have a power beyond his own, a power beyond the reach of any magic, is a truth he has never grasped.

# Fred Weasley

For instance, this new idea that You-Know-Who can kill with a single glance from his eyes. That's a Basilisk, listeners. One simple test, check whether the thing that's glaring at you has got legs. If it has, it's safe to look into its eyes, although if it really is You-Know-Who, that's still likely to be the last thing you ever do.

Forbidden to remember, terrified to forget; it was a hard line to walk.

I knew I was too late-and I was glad something bloodthirsty waited in the wings. For failing at this, I forfeited andy desire to live.

I'd never seen anything more beautiful-even as I ran, gasping and screaming, I could appreciate that. And the last seven months meant nothing. And his words in the forest mean nothing. And it did not matter if he did not want me. I would never want anything but him, no matter how long I lived.

"Look after my heart-I've left it with you." Edward

"Don't you see, Bella? You already have everything. You have a whole life ahead of you-everything I want. And you're going to just throw it away. Can't you see that I'd trade everything I have to be you? You have the choice I didn't have. and you're choosing wrong!" Rosalie

"Sleep, my Bella. Dream happy dreams. You are the only one who has ever touched my heart. It will always be yours. Sleep, my only love."

"Did you seriously just stamp your foot? I thought girls only did that on TV." Jacob

"Jasper shows up, covered in battle scars, towing this little freak who greets them all by name, knows everything about them, and wants to know which room she can move into." Edward

"Fall down again, Bella?" Emmet

"No, Emmett, I punched a werewolf in the face." Bella

"Until your heart stops beating, Bella. I'll be here-fighting. Don't forget that you have options." Jacob

'Isabella Swan? I promise to love you forever-every single day of forever. Will you marry me?" Edward

"I think you were just worried that if you really forced her to choose, she might not choose you." Jacob

"Kiss me Jacob. Kiss me, and then come back." Bella

"It's a good thing you're bulletproof. I'm going to need that ring. It's time to tell Charlie." Bella

BREAKING DAWN

If your life was all you had to give your beloved, how could you not give it? If it was someone you truly loved?

I tried to comprehend, through the film of tears blinding me, the surrealy fact that this amazing person was mine.

"Do you want me to sing to you? I'll sing all night if it will keep the bad dreams away." Edward

"I'm not saying things will work out easily Jake. But how could I have lived through all that I've lived through and not believe in magic by this point?" Bella

"He smiled the kind of smile that would have stopped my heart if it were still beating." Bella

"Look at you! You need me to show you how to use your closet." Alice

"After a few minutes, he asked, real quietly, if you turned into an animal too. And I said, "She wishes she was that cool!" Jacob

I would not live without Edward again; if he was leaving this world, then I would be right behind him.

I heard the music before I was out of the car. Edward hadn't touched this piano since the night Alice left. Now, as I shut the car door, I heard the song morph through a bridge and change into my lullaby. Edward was welcoming me home.

But the most significant in this tidal wave of happiness was the surest fact of all: I was with Edward. Forever.

Anything Dumbledore has ever said.

Im gonna go for all of the HP books, srry.

"Books! And cleverness! There are more important things -- friendship and bravery."--Hermione Granger

Hermione: "Well, if you two are going to chicken out, fine. I don't want to break rules, you know. I think threatening Muggle-borns is far worse than brewing up a difficult potion. But if you don't want to find out..."

Ron: "I never thought I'd see the day when you'd be persuading us to break rules."

"P-P-Professor McGonagall! Sh-she said I'd failed everything!"

—Hermione faces her Boggart

Ron: "She’ll be after you next, Hermione."

Hermione: "Let her try! I’ll show her! Silly little girl, am I? Oh, I’ll get her back for this."

— Hermione and Ron discussing Rita Skeeter

Ron: "Seamus reckons that Harry's lying about You-Know-Who."

Hermione: "Yes, Lavender thinks so too... I told her to keep her big fat mouth shut about you, actually. And it would be quite nice if you stopped jumping down Ron and my throats, Harry, because if you haven't noticed, we're on your side."

— Hermione on her belief in Harry about Voldemort's return

Hermione: "It's exciting, isn't it? Breaking the rules!"

Ron: "Who are you and what have you done to Hermione Granger?"

— Hermione and Ron

Hermione: "Oh, I've just escaped - I mean, I've just left Cormac. Under the mistletoe... I'd thought he'd annoy Ron most. I debated for a while about Zacharias Smith, but I thought, on the whole-"

Harry: "You considered Smith?"

Hermione: "Yes, I did, and I'm starting to wish I'd chosen him, McLaggen makes Grawp look a gentleman."

— Hermione at Slughorn's Christmas party

Harry: "Listen!"

Hermione: "No, Harry, you listen. We’re coming with you. That was decided months ago – years, really."

Hermione: "They wanted to examine whatever he's left us. You had no right to do that!... The law was created to stop wizards passing on Dark artifacts, and the Ministry is supposed to have powerful evidence that the deceased's possessions are illegal before seizing them! Are you telling me that you thought Dumbledore was trying to pass us something cursed?"

Rufus Scrimgeour: "Are you planning to follow a career in Magical Law, Miss Granger?"

Hermione: "No, I'm not. I'm hoping to do some good in the world!"

— Hermione arguing with the Minister over his belated reading of Dumbledore's will

Professor Slughorn: "Oho! ‘One of my best friends is Muggle-born, and she’s the best in our year!’ I’m assuming this is the very friend of whom you spoke, Harry?"

Harry: "Yes, sir."

Professor Slughorn: "Well, well, take 20 well-earned points for Gryffindor, Miss Granger."

— after Hermione impresses Professor Slughorn in Potions

Hermione: "I’m hunted quite as much as any goblin or elf, Griphook! I’m a Mudblood!"

Ron: "Don’t call yourself-"

Hermione: "Why shouldn’t I? Mudblood, and proud of it!"

— Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley speaking to Griphook

"You're a little scary sometimes, you know that. Brilliant. But scary."

—Ron Weasley to Hermione in their first year

"She's like my sister. I love her like a sister and I reckon she feels the same way about me. It’s always been like that."

— Harry Potter talking to Ron Weasley about his relationship with Hermione Granger in 1997

Ginny: "Hermione told me to get on with life, maybe go out with some other people, relax a bit around you, because I never used to be able to talk if you were in the room, remember? And she thought you might take a bit more notice if I was a bit more – myself."

Harry: "Smart girl, that Hermione."

Dumbledore: "Harry, do you know why Prof. Quirrell couldn't bear to have you touch him? It was because of your mother. She sacrificed herself for you. And that kind of act leaves a mark... This kind of mark cannot be seen. It lives in your very skin."

Harry: "What is it?"

Dumbledore: "Love, Harry. Love."

— Albus Dumbledore to Harry

Molly Weasley: "All right, that's enough! He's just a boy! You might as well induct him into the Order!"

Harry Potter: "Good, then I want to join! If Voldemort's building up an army then I want to fight!"

— Harry in 12 Grimmauld Place

Hermione: "I told them you'd take it like this."

Harry: "If you think I'm going to let six people risk their lives --!"

Ron: "-- because it's the first time for all of us."

— Hermione and Ron to Harry before the Battle over Little Whinging

"You're going to leave here with us. Go home, grab your children, and get out, get out of the country if you've got to. Disguise yourselves and run. You've seen how it is, you won't get anything like a fair hearing here."

—Harry while freeing Muggle-borns from the Muggle-Born Registration Commission

Harry: "I thought you knew what you’d signed up for."

Ron: "Yeah, I thought I did too."

Harry: "So what part of it isn't living up to your expectations? Did you think we’d be staying in five-star hotels? Finding a Horcrux every other day? Did you think you’d be back to MuMummy by Christmas?"

Ron: "We thought you knew what you were doing! We thought Dumbledore had told you what to do, we thought you had a real plan!"

— Harry and Ron before the latter's departure

Harry: "Dumbledore left the three of us a job, and we weren't supposed to tell - I mean, he wanted us to do it, just the three of us."

Neville: "We're his army. Dumbledore's Army. We were all in it together, we’ve been keeping it going while you three have been off on your own... Everyone in this room’s been fighting and they’ve been driven in here because the Carrows were hunting them down. Everyone in here’s proven they’re loyal to Dumbledore – loyal to you."

— Harry and Neville Longbottom upon the trio's return to Hogwarts

"Voldemort had raised his wand. His head was still tilted to one side, like a curious child, wondering what would happen if he proceeded. Harry looked back into the red eyes, and wanted it to happen now, quickly, while he could still stand, before he lost control, before he betrayed fear... He saw the mouth move and a flash of green light, and everything was gone."

—Harry sacrifices himself

Harry: "I don't want anyone else to help. It's got to be like this. It's got to be me."

Voldemort: "Potter doesn't mean that. This isn't how he works, is it? Who are you going to use as a shield today, Potter?"

Harry: "Nobody. There are no more Horcruxes. It's just you and me. Neither can live while the other survives, and one of us is about to leave for good. . ."

— Harry and Voldemort face off for the final time

"The scar hadn't pained Harry for nineteen years. All was well."
