I want to know about some good books out there that I should try reading. I hate going to the library and not knowing which books to get so it would be helpful if you guys could tell me which books are really good. I like Fantasy a lot, but I'll read anything.

1) Feed by MT Anderson: One of the best science fiction novels of the past ten years, Feed is both exciting and thought-provoking. It's the story of two teens set in a future where everyone (or so it seems to the narrator) has a chip in their head. The style is fluid and engaging, the language inventive and humorous, and the story utterly timeless. It also has a heart-wrenching love story--and what 15-year-old girl doesn't love a good romance? In short, read it.

2) A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin: This is absolutely the best fantasy series since the days of Tolkein and Lewis. Harry Potter ain't got nothin' on these books. They're exciting, visually stunning, and contain loads of perfectly crafted characters that made me wish the stories would never end. Very easy to get caught up in, the four books in the series so far (start with the first, A Game of Thrones) have made me feel like I know the characters as well as any real person I know. A must-read for ALL fantasy fans.

The obvious start is Harry Potter, but if you have already read those, I'll give you some of my favorites when I was growing up. I was a huge Christopher Pike fan, he had a few that were terrible, but so many that were great (try the Vampire Trilogy and Witch), a mixture of fantasy, horror, and emotion. I also got into Steven King and Dean Koontz about that time. Also, John Christopher has a Tripod series (4 books, When the Tripods Came, The White Mountains, The City of Gold and Lead, and the Pool of Fire) that I remember to have been pretty great, not sure if it might be too young for you, though. Oh yeah, and the Lightning Thief is something my daughter just read and loved.

Hope any of this helps, enjoy!

When I was that age, I really enjoyed Edgar Rice Burroughs. He wrote the Tarzan books (Most people don't realize there are over 20 tarzan books by the original author) and John Carter of Mars seris. I also enjoyed Orson Scott Card's Ender's Game and all the books that have followed it.

There's this list that i got from the library for suggested teen reading, here it is-

ARTEMIS FOUL: THE LOST COLONY-(though i would suggest that you read the ones that come before in the series first, this one is the most recent; fantasy)

CHASING VERMEER-sort of childish version of the DaVinci Code.

NEW MOON-vampire/love/coming of age story, sequal to Twighlight

AIMEE-teenage friendship story, sad at first, but a VERY good book.

MY SISTER'S KEEPER-a great story not only telling about life as a teenager, but addressing the political and individual effects of tampering with genetics.

EMMA AND ME-very good, coming of age story about a girl's fight to survive in her own home.

ERAGON-dragon fantasy story, kinda slow but good.

there were more on the list, but i havent read them yet, so i cont tell you what they're about or of they're any good, but here they are:

City of Ember, Dragon Rider, Dragonspell, Flyte, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, High Rhulain, Knofe of Dreams, Lightning Thief, Marley and Me, Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment, Peter and the Star Catchers, Ptolemy's Gate, The Rivers of Zadaa, Summer of the Apocalypse, The Truth about Forever, and Uglies (the second book in a 3 part series)

hope that this helps!

Well, there is Harry Potter, there is the Bartimaeus Trillogy, there is the Warriors series (more or less younger readers like 6th-8th grade....). I'm not really the type of person to read a lot of books, but I read all of the above. I liked em. (If I read anything I prefer fantasy).

I forgot to mention, I'm 15.
