1 Was there any reference to make us believe Draco's wife (in the Epilogue) was Pansy?

2 I know Peverell is family Marvolo says his ring is from, but who is Fabian Peverell and do we know why Harry has his timepiece in the Epilogue?

3 Do we know (and I missed it) what happened to the phoenix feather wand of Voldemort's after he figured out it wouldn't work against Harry's?

4 It's obvious for whom James, Lily & Albus Severus are named, but do we know for whom Rose & Hugo are named?

5 What were Hermione's parents' names before she modified their memory?

6 Anyone else think Luna & Neville are a couple and we just weren't told?

7 What do you suppose Harry's doing? An Auror? I thought he'd end up being the one who finally was able to do the Defense Against the Dark Arts job for more than a year. Anyone else?

8 Has anyone seen a reference to why so many flower names? Fleur, Rose, Lily, Petunia, Poppy, Pansy, Lavender?

Thanks fellow HP fans!

1. No

2. I don't think she gave us the reason

3. Voldemort still had it. In the first coulpe of chapters, Voldemort 'borrows' Lucius Malfoy's wand to use against Harry and Malfoy made a reflex move like he was expecting Voldemort's wand in exchange.

4. No

5. I don't think shr ever gave there names. If she did, it's in another book.

6. Yep

7. In an interview last night on 'DATELINE NBC', she said Harry and Ron were Aurors and that Harry was in charge at the office. Hermione was in charge of the Misuse of Magic office.

8. My guess on the names is it is a cultural thing in the British Isles.

1 Was there any reference to make us believe Draco's wife (in the Epilogue) was Pansy? no, not really...

2 I know Peverell is family Marvolo says his ring is from, but who is Fabian Peverell and do we know why Harry has his timepiece in the Epilogue? I think Harry went back to find out about his ancestors, which is how he got the watch...

3 Do we know (and I missed it) what happened to the phoenix feather wand of Voldemort's after he figured out it wouldn't work against Harry's? no, he just took Lucius' wand...

4 It's obvious for whom James, Lily & Albus Severus are named, but do we know for whom Rose & Hugo are named? maybe they just liked those names? good question...

5 What were Hermione's parents' names before she modified their memory? I forget...

6 Anyone else think Luna & Neville are a couple and we just weren't told? On muggle.net, there's an interview with J.K Rowling and she said that she never would have thought they would get together but they are an odd couple now... so I guess that means yes...

7 What do you suppose Harry's doing? An Auror? I thought he'd end up being the one who finally was able to do the Defense Against the Dark Arts job for more than a year. Anyone else? J.K said that Harry and Ron became Aurors in the new Ministry of Magic (they got rid of the old Ministry) and Hermoine became a lawyer. Neville (as you probably know) is a professor at Hogwarts now.

8 Has anyone seen a reference to why so many flower names? Fleur, Rose, Lily, Petunia, Poppy, Pansy, Lavender? Mabe she has a thing for flowers....?

1. There was no reference to who Malfoy was married to -- only that his son looks like him.

2. Fabian Prewett is the person whose watch Harry has. He was Molly Weasley's brother who was murdered before Harry defeated Voldemort the first time. Molly gave Harry the watch for his 17th birthday because it is traditional to give a wizard a gold watch when he comes of age.

3. I got the impression that Voldemort still had his wand he just quit using it.

4. There was no mention of who Rose and Hugo were named after.

5. I don't recall Hermione's parents ever being referred to as anything other than Mr. and Mrs. Granger.

6. I hope so.

7. According to an interview J.K. Rowling did with Meredith Viera, Ron and Harry are both Aurors and Harry is the head of the Auror office at the Ministry of Magic.

8. J.K. Rowling probably just likes flowers!

Well I'll answer the ones JK has told us. About Harry's profession: "JK Rowling......Kingsley became permanent Minister for Magic, and naturally he wanted Harry to head up his new Auror department. Harry did so (just because Voldemort was gone, it didn’t mean that there would not be other Dark witches and wizards in the coming years)."

"Luna and Neville Longbottom?

It’s possible Luna has also found love with another member ofthe D.A.

When she was first asked about the possibility of Luna hooking up with Neville Longbottom several years ago, Rowling’s response was “Definitely not.” But as time passed and she watched her characters mature, Rowling started to “feel a bit of a pull” between the unlikely pair.

Ultimately, Rowling left the question of their relationship open at the end of the book because doing otherwise “felt too neat.”

Mr. and Mrs. Longbottom: “The damage is done.”

Jk likes to also do astronomy names, Andromeda, Draco ect.

EDIT:

this was also on the transcript,

"Renee: From reading about the original owners of the deathly hallows, the peverell brothers, i'm wondering if harry and voldermort are distantly related voldermorts grandfather ended up with the resurrection stone ring ?

J.K. Rowling: Yes, Harry and Voldemort are distantly related through the Peverells.

J.K. Rowling: Of course, nearly all wizarding families are related if you trace them back through the centuries. As was made clear in 'Deathly hallows', Peverell blood would run through many wizarding families."

1. No there wasn't at all ( Although after what she did turning in Harry I hope that she got hit by a Killing Curse).

2. It's not Peverell, It's Fabian Prewett, Molly Weasley's cousin. Don't you remember when she gave it to Harry as his seventeenth birthday present saying it was a tradition to give out those watches? (Molly Weasley was Molly Prewett before she married Mr.Weasley)

3.No, though probably some Death Eater stole it or Voldemort hid it...

4.Rose and Hugo have the same initials as Ron and Hermione...and there's probably a reason why J.K named them like that...

5.It's not in the books, the only book where they were shown is Chamber of Secrets in Flourish & Blotts tlaking to Mr.Weasley but they don't say their names...

6.No...look at her life...In Rowling's first televised interview since the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, she revealed a number of aspects of Luna's life after Hogwarts. Luna continues to be an eccentric individual and pursues a career of "the wizarding equivalent" of a naturalist. She comes to terms with her father's sometimes false beliefs, but Rowling explains that her background has fostered in her a singular open-mindedness that allows her to make discoveries that more "reality"-oriented individuals might be unable to recognize.

In a later interview, Rowling explained that Luna discovered many new species of animals and became quite famous for it, though she concluded that Crumple-Horned Snorkacks don't actually exist. She ended up marrying Rolf Scamander, a fellow naturalist and grandson of the great Newt Scamander.

7.J.K said their occupations in an interview shortly after the release of Deathly Hallows. Harry and Ron are Aurors and they work in the Ministry of Magic, they revolutionized the Ministry finally putting it to good use. Hermione works for the Ministry and is a "pretty high up" in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement and has ensured the eradication of oppressive, pro pure-blood laws, although she began her post-Hogwarts career by working in the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, where she is instrumental in greatly improving life for house-elves and their ilk.

8. J.K loves flowers I guess!!

1. no reference, just said 'his wife'

2. it was Fabian Prewett, not Peverell.

3. no, Voldemort just said that it's last act would be to break open Dumbledore's grave to get the elder wand

4. No. Wierd *** names- I bet Hermoine made them up. They don't sound like names that Ron would pick.

5. I don't think we ever find out- all we know is that they're dentists.

6. Yeah they might have hooked up =)

7. I don't know. I thought he'd be the DADA teacher at Hogwarts, but I guess not since he wasn't on the train with his sons.

8. I don't think there's any specific reason. Authors are always saying that it's hard to find names. Maybe J.K. just likes flowers!

Long live Harry!

1. Your guess is as good as mine.

2. I wasn't aware that Harry inheritated a timepiece from Fabian PEVERELL. In the book, it says "Fabian Prewett". It's the old watch Harry got from Mrs. Weasley on his seventeenth birthday, as it was a tradtion to give a wizard a watch when he comes of age.

3. no idea, I assume Voldemort kept it somewhere?

4. Ask Ron and Hermione. Maybe it's for one of their relatives?

5. Something Granger, of course.

6. From MSNBC:

"Luna and Neville Longbottom?

It’s possible Luna has also found love with another member of the D.A.

7. As for his occupation, Harry, along with Ron, is working at the Auror Department at the Ministry of Magic. After all these years, Harry is now the department head.

“Harry and Ron utterly revolutionized the Auror Department,” Rowling said. “They are now the experts. It doesn’t matter how old they are or what else they’ve done.”

Meanwhile, Hermione, Ron’s wife, is “pretty high up” in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, despite laughing at the idea of becoming a lawyer in “Deathly Hallows.”

“I would imagine that her brainpower and her knowledge of how the Dark Arts operate would really give her a sound grounding,” Rowling said.

********************

Hermione began her post-Hogwarts career at the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatureswhere she was instrumental in greatly improving life for house-elves and their ilk. She then moved (despite her jibe to Scrimgeour) to the Dept. of Magical Law Enforcement

where she was a progressive voice who ensured the eradication of oppressive, pro-pureblood laws. Kingsley became permanent Minister for Magic, and naturally he wanted Harry to head up his new Auror department.Harry did so (just because Voldemort was gone, it didn’t mean that there would not be other Dark witches and wizards in the coming years).Ron joined George at Weasleys’ Wizarding Wheezes, which became an enormous money-spinner..

After a few years as a celebrated player for the Holyhead Harpies, Ginny retired to have her family and to become the Senior Quidditch correspondent at the Daily Prophet!"

8. Maybe Rowling love flowers? if you paid attention, Rowling also used all constellation names for the Black family: sirius, andromache, regulus, etc.

jk rowling is coming out with an encyclopedia if you will to answer all unanswered quesitions and there is a website somewhere saying all the things im going to tell you:

harry bacam an auror and so did ron. hermione was also in the ministry of magic....a very high position if i recall correctly. luna and neville were a couple. and pansy was dracos wife. thats all i know.
2007-07-30 10:45:56 UTC
1. Yeah. I would think Malfoy would marry anyone else. I mean in the 6th book he let her stroke his hair. I don't see him letting anyone else! -lol-

2. We know that Fabian was the second brother in the legend that got the stone to see the dead. I guess we don't.

3. He stopped using it and he used Lucius Malfoy's wand. Than I think he threw it away when he got the Elder Wand. Some like that anyway.

4. I think not. We just really dont know. The R in Rose is like Ron and the H in Hugo is like Hermoine. I'm just guessing.

5. I don't think she ever said anything like that.

6. I DOoOOo!!!!

7. I think that Harry's job choices can varry. We just know that he has enough money to get by, with some to spare. So I would think a job that allows him to live in relitive comfort. Maybe and Auror but we probably never know.

8. Maybe but we can't know. People can have difficulty to come up with names after writting 7 books for a series.

Welcome. You know we love answering! ♥ it!!

1. No there was not

3. I think he discarded it

4. First initials of Ron and Hermione. Hugo may be a reference to Victor Hugo who wrote Les Mis

6. They aren't as far as we know

7.Harry is a high up Auror (JKR interview on the Today show) as is Ron. Hermione is in Magical Law Enforcement. The three of them helped transform the Ministry
2007-07-30 10:38:44 UTC
The only one I know the answer to is 7.

In an interview after the book was released, JKR said that Harry and Ron are both working as Aurors and have completely revolutionized the Ministry of Magic so that it's now a good place.

the only one i can give a solid answer on is 7. If you go to wikipedia it states that j.k. rowling has already commented on this. he and ron are both aurors. when voldemort was killed it broke the curse that was put on the position of the defense against the dark arts.

i have never seen any of the instructors married
