Question:
What should the title of the novel I'm writing be?

I'm writing a novel (for NaNoWriMo, anyone?) and I need help deciding on a title. I'm never particularly good at deciding on my title. I'm no where near done, but I like to at least have a working title.

The main idea is that a teenage girl befriends a strange boy named Quinn when he tells her that she must help him, but he can't yet explain how or why. She begins to hallucinate (she thinks) and have dreams about this boy that seem to be about a past they had together. She has to decide whether or not she wants to risk everything, including her sanity to help him.

Quinn, is a ghost, of sorts who comes looking for help because he can't rest until his name is cleared of a crime he didn't commit. The girl is the only one who can help him because she is the girl he loved over 100 years ago. It sounds strange, but essentially she's been reincarnated to help him and help herself.

So, it's still in the works, obviously, but I could really use a good working title. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

YES! I love NaNoWriMo! I've never done it myself- I'm in high school and don't exactly have the time to devote to writing a book in that short of a time crunch, since my novels tend to take more like 6 months- but the idea always facinated me.

Mmm. I like the premise of your story. I always like crazy dramatic love stories (which does NOT include Twilight, by the way...seriously, who the hell does LAUNDRY for fun and since when do vampires get all *sparkly*??? What the hell???) and this sounds exactly like something I'd read.

Titles:

Held by Time

Out of Time

Matter of Time

Racing Time

The Sands of Time

Time After Time

The Flight of Time

I think you should focus on time as a central theme, since it's almost like she's come across time to be with him. I especially like the titles "Flight of Time" and "Out of Time" since they provoke a feeling of urgency.

Also, can I suggest a name? I think the name Violet would really suit your character...think about it. Plus it sounds great with "Quinn". And it's a timeless, classic name. Good luck!

Centuries of Love

Quinn

The Clock Keeps Spinning

Sorry, I kind of suck at titles. All I can say is that is a great plot. Very original! I would love to read it.

I absolutely love the plot !

I would so buy it.

Hmmm ...

- To Love Again

- Quinn, Yes That's My Name

- Help

- ( It could just be the girl's name )

- A Decade

Meh, that's all I got. (:

Dead Innocent? I myself suck with titles until a book is finished. Sorry I can't help any further.

sounds like a twilight ripoff with minor substitutions.
