It sounds like you have most of everything you need *down*, but what you might need to do is a little more brainstorming with your characters' attributes, background, and some of the other finer details in life.
What I would also suggest is make an outline of what you've got down--this way, you won't be completely confused by what you've already come up with.
I did some character models for my characters early on, name, place of birth, age, height, appearance, base of operations, that sort of thing. It gave me a solid foundation to start--so that I could concentrate on the story and add the details to my characters later on.
Of course, some things changed along the ways, but what doesn't in a story or novel?
With Andrew, I would take *one* or *two* special abilities and stick it with him. He sounds too Clark Kent-ish for my taste.
I mean, Small ville is a great series, but if you want to make your 'superhero' good, give him something that makes him or her special and not like everyone else.
Y'know?
For example, my novel, The Starchild, is a *perfect* example of what to do if you want to create a 'superhero-ish'-character.
The 14-year-old girl in my book becomes the Starchild of Ancient Lore through a piece bequeathed directly from the Source of Chaos. (A machine sentience of incredible power.)
She transforms into the Starchild from her regular guise--no secret identity needed--weilding incredible cosmic power and other abilities that can affect the cosmos on an unfathomable scale.
The Starchild of Ancient Lore--in my book--doesn't have any known--inherent--weaknesses. The only time when she's vulnerable is when she pushes herself beyond her limits and passes out from time to time from exhaustion or severe injuries accumulated from fighting.
Being the Starchild means that she doesn't die. She's practically immortal and for good reason: The legends defining other *past* Starchilds of Ancient Lore spoke of their presence lasting tens of millions, and even hundreds of millions of years.
Her only true threat is a space-born parasite called the Devourer. It literally *feeds* off the cosmic power of any Starchild of Ancient Lore--killing them in the process.
The God of Insanity is another definitive threat to the Starchild, but the last known confrontation was almost 300 million years ago.
The Starchild in my book has a little more time before the God of Insanity pays a visit to her corner of the known universe.
The Starchild's other abilities is the gift of flight, speed, instant transmission (in some cases), and intergalactic travel via hypergate bypass conduits.
She's also been able to travel to other alternate universes once or twice and when she uses her Chaos Generators, she becomes something more menacing, *dark*, and often uncontrollable. (It gets pretty crazy when that happens.)
But anyway...
Hope this gives you some idea on how to create a really good superhero character! (Just leave the Kryptonite at home where it belongs.)
