The Time Traveler's Wife

"The Time Traveler's Wife" is one of the most interesting, powerful books I've read in a long time. Audrey Niffenegger did a beautiful job taking some of the most complex ideas - time travel, marriage, love, children, friends, literary and artistic allusions, religion, death, drugs, childhood, growing, loss, and what it means to be human - and weaving them together poetically and with amazing clarity.

I'd advocate the starvation video games sequence by way of Susan Collins. I'm obsessive about the ones books on the second and they have got identical style/subject matters to the books you might have stated above. Its additionally being made right into a movie that is due for unlock this March!

From a Buick 8 is a quick easy read with a good story line, characters you can relate to. Not (in my opinion) one King's best but certainly good reading. False Memory is okay as well, again not my first choice of Koontz's books, as I find his Odd Thomas books and Frankenstein books (The Prodigal Son is the first of four) much better as far as both story line and characters.

None of the above.

Go with fantasy, The Dark Elf Trilogy by Robert Salvatore. The fist book is called Homeland. I thought it wasn't my cup at first and now I cant put it down!
