i thought of a plot for a story. but it sounds really familiar. im not sure if this is already a story. does this story sound familiar to you?

the story is about this guy who has a miserable life. he's about to commit suicide. but this girl that he loves convinces him not to. so he doesnt. then like around seven years later, hes the happiest man in the world. but one day. he wakes up and finds out that hes been in a coma for seven years, and the past seven years never happened. does this story sound anything like another story?

I don't think I've ever read it. Sounds good though. I see why you think it's familiar too. I know I've never read anything like that before....but for some nagging reason, it does sound a little familiar. Hmmm...I think you should go for it. Even if someone else did something similar to it, whatever you write won't be the exactly the same.

That exact plot is not familiar to me. Sounds like something one might see on the Twilight Zone.

It reminds me of these films:

1. The Matrix: waking up to discover the reality one knew was not reality

2. Jacob's Ladder: a dying person hallucinates

3. The Dead Zone (I hope that's the right title): the film based on the Stephen King novel wherein a man is in a coma after being in a car accident and wakes years later to find that his girlfriend has married someone else and that he has some kind of ESP

It sounds somehow familiar, yes, but I don't remember anything exactly like this, so I think you should just try it out. Besides, different people have different writing styles, so two people writing about the same thing would sound completely different.

No, not really. It reminds me of other books, but it is not exactly the same. It sounds really interesting- I would go for it. Make sure you hire an editor, though, so if there is typos in the final mauscript it's not you who looks like an idiot.

Very...evidently like some thing Eleanor Louise might write...and this comic strip sounds like they're arguing over some thing stupid, whether it is precisely what gay/bi human beings struggle via by using fact it is not their decision..

It kind of sounds like the movie, "ITs a Wonderful Life," starring James Stewart.

Good movie...
