Hey,
So I love writing Thriller and make an effort to read in that Genre. People recommend James Patterson to me so I bought one of his books the other day. It was the only one and I had no idea his work ran in a series. The book was Violets are Blue with Alex Cross as the Detective. I wasn't that impressed with the book and predicted the ending, but continued reading hoping I was wrong or that another dimsenion would be added.

I'm hoping this wasn't one of his more famous books. I wanted to stick to the Serial Killer Plot so could anyone suggest an REALLY good books he's written. Or suggest any other authors I could try. I'm already reading some of Patricia Cornwell.

The Dexter series by Jeff Lindsay. They are brilliant. They have this sort of rambling style of writing, without going too off track or being too annoying. And their written from the actual serial killer's point of view. (in case you don't know anything about Dexter, he's a serial killer who kills bad people like paedos and stuff. And he works as a forensics guy. And his sister is like a Lieutenant. So his whole life basically revolves around catching guys like him.)

Trust me, you won't regret reading them.
