Good romance books like Morganville Vampire Series?

I love the chemistry bewteen Claire and Shane. But I like how there a lot of action that buts you on the edge of your seat. Is there any good books like that?

One of my favorite series is definitely the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead. Lots of action, angst, scary moments, sad stuff, and a wonderful love story! I read each book one after the other and couldn't put them down.
