Hagrid said That Every single Evil Witch or Wizard came from Slytherin? Well, isn't that like broken now? Well, Peter Pettigrew (or Wormtail) came from Gryffindor and he ended up evil.
Oh, and what did Wormtail owe Harry, (SPOILER)
so that he killed himself in the last book? You know when Harry and Ron were in the Cellar, or was it like a jail...and he came down to check and he was going to kill Harry but Harry said that he owed him something? What was it?

Hagrid said that every Dark wizard or witch came from Slytherin. He didn't say they couldn't come from somewhere else. Wormtail owed Harry a debt, because in POA, Harry spared his life. The silver hand had come from Voldemort, therefore when Wormtail hesitated to kill Harry, the silver hand killed him. And Wormtail isn't evil. He's just a free-loader, that's all. He only said he was a Death Eater after the Dark Lord had risen again.

I believe he said there's not a single witch or wizard that went bad that was in slytherin. Which as you said is kind of broken but dumbledore did say snape is one of the main reasons he believes the sorting hat chooses too soon.

Wormtail owed harry a life debt, which is powerful magic, even if wormtail wanted to kill harry, his body wouldn't let him because he owed harry a life debt. Harry told sirius and lupin not to kill him in the shrieking shack when they were going to end him. He didn't want them to be murderers, so he told them not to kill him. When you are a wizard if you save another wizards life there is like a magical bind between the two. Dumbledore tells harry that I think in the end of the third book.

Hope it helped.

It was sort of an exaggeration, actually the term was something more like there wasn't a witch or wizard in slytherin who didn't go bad. I'll have to check that.

He owed Harry because in the third book Harry saved Wormtails life. He kept Lupin and Sirius from killing him, incurring a life debt, which in the wizarding world is very serious. I'm not sure why the owing ended up killing Wormtail or whether it was just because of the magic that Voldemort incurred in the hand or something. The situation was sort of like James saving Snape's life by saving him from Lupin, and then how he was always fighting to repay that debt by saving Harry.

Wormtail owed Harry because Harry stopped Lupin and Sirius from killing him in PoA. And he wasn't really EVIL...he was a wannabe. And I doubt EVERY bad witch or wizard was from there. And not all Slytherins are bad!

Remember when Ron almost turned Scabbers [Pettigrew] yellow?! What would have happened if he has succeeded?!!

I don't think Wormtail was necessarily "evil", just incredibly weak. I don't think he was maliciously plotting Lily and James deaths, but rather that he was too pathetic to stand up to Voldemort, too afraid.

Wormtail owed Harry his life. In the 3rd book, Sirius and Lupin were going to kill him, but Harry told them not to. He said James wouldn't have wanted his two best friends to become killers over Peter.

Actually what he said was something like, there wasn't a witch or wizard gone wrong who hadn't been in Slytherin... And Peter wasn't evil at all. He did one very very very bad thing (betraying Harry's parents) but in the end his special hand strangled him to death for showing remorse and not giving Harry away in the Malfoys cellar. He owed Harry because he betrayed his parents. Wormtail owed him something after doing that terrible terrible thing.

Hagrid was probably exagerating, although I do remember that. Plus Wormtail wasn't exactly THAT evil.

I think he was either referring to (was it in the 3rd book) that Harry decided to keep Wormtail alive, cuz Sirius was gonna kill him. Either that or it could be because Wormtail turned in Harry's parents and he felt guilty.

wormtail owed harry his life, in book four he decided to keep him alive instead of having siriuss & lupin kill him.

when hagrid said what he said he didn't mean it literally. wormtail was just scared and voldemort ruled by scaring people.

Its not broken he didn't say anything about the other houses.

I think he owed Harry because Harry didn't take him to Azkaban. maybe. I am not to sure about that.

well, i think hagrid was exxagerating- but also, peter pettigrew wasn't exactly EVIL. he was just tromotized by voldemort so he did whatever the dark lord wanted out of fright. wormtail needed to pay him back for giving away his father's location to voldemort

I think Hagrid was just wrong on this and he thought Petter was dead. When he said this.
