It seems that most all the books (fiction or Non) I always find spelling errors all the time. so what is the process when the books are printed....dont they do a spell check? I would love to report the errors...does any one else run into this.

Yeah, I've run into spelling errors all the time. Most authors do spell checks, but some of them don't want to waste at least 2 hours of their lives doing it. I, on the other hand, think that most authors should do spell checks to make sure people don't think they have a grammar problem.
But if you use Microsoft Word, it automatically shows you when you've made a spelling mistake. I use that for most of my writing, or just take stuff from my other program, upload it to Microsoft Word, and just spell check it until I've agreed with most of the spelling.

Just shows you nobody is perfect. Mistakes WILL happen constantly. That's why they invented the backspace. All must bow to the little back arrow above the Enter key.

Actually no, I don't find spelling errors all the time. Have you checked these errors you find with your dictionary, do be sure of them and how those words can be used?
Books are gone over by at least two people, the writer and editor, and most often an agent will read it as well, and likely someone from the publishing house.
'Spell check' does not help at all with spelling errors, since 'spell check' lets so many words go by that are real words but in the wrong place.
A writer must always read over what they write and not just rely on 'spell check.' That's pretty basic. An editor, agent et. al. go beyond that.
It seems odd to me that you find so many errors...
However, such is life--

Yes! I also find grammatical errors, use of the wrong character's name, and inconsistencies in the plot. As a matter of fact, I sent J.K.Rowling via both U.S. and British publishers, a detailed list of the errors and inconsistencies I found in the Harry Potter books because I would like to seem them corrected before future printings. Young people learn to write though reading and if what they are reading has errors they will repeat those errors.

They don't occur all of the time but ever once in a while I find one. Example one of the books I'm reading says "Ma" at one point instead of the name of the title character "May"
To report errors my suggestion would see if the author has a website/e-mail. If not send the comment to the publishing company.

Many times. I was very surprised when I found a spelling error in Michael Crichton's "State of Fear" novel about eco-terrorists that was a left-over from editing; it was obvious that someone had completely changed the tense of the paragraph from the original draft.

Yes, and grammar errors. And not only in books, in newspapers, government documents, press releases on internet news stories. You'd think that someone working for AP (Associated Press) would have to at least have a journalism degree and would therefore know their grammar and spelling, but it's not so.

Oh yeah, heck I've noticed random four's and & indicators within the center of my Physics: A First Course textbook far and wide the locations, and I'm going "How the..." and scratching my head, brooding about simply how a lot attempt the typist expended to boost their hand to the quantity row within the center of typing a phrase, while a quantity might have made definitely NO feel at that factor.

Yes, but it's rarely actual misspelled words. It's usually misused homophones, like its/it's and there/their/they're and to/too. Spellcheck doesn't catch those, and editors are only human.
I find them all the time. It's one of my pet peeves so they jump out at me.
