Question:
High fantasy novels with no romance and a male protagonist?

The question is simple enough. I'm looking for a high fantasy novel/series which does not include romance (at least not with the main character). If it's something like the barely noticeable one in Lord of The Rings between Aragorn and Arwen, then I'm okay with it.

It would be the cherry on top of the cake if the main character was a WELL-WRITTEN guy. I don't care if there's sex with prostitutes or anything. Look at A Song of Ice and Fire. The elements of romance in there are tolerable.

I don't have anything against female characters. It's just that every good fantasy I pick up these days is focused on females. I'd like to read one with a guy just as a breath of fresh air. And when I decided to read Wizard's First Rule, it started out good and then it suddenly went downhill with the Kahlan/Richard romance.

So please recommend me good high fantasy with no or very less romance and a male protagonist.

Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini: Its a fantasy and there is romance in it, but it's more of a sub-plot really, and not really built upon.

It is told from 3 different points of view. Eragon (main character), Roran (main's cousin. Some of this is where the romance is but I personally skip it >.<) and Nasuada (She is female, buts its only for several chapters in the last book). Eragon's Dragon also has some chapters but they're very short and there are few of them.

Chronicle's of Narnia by C.S. Lewis: I don't remember there being anything with Romance in it, but it's been years since I've read all of them.

Told from MANY different perspectives through 7 books. Generally written in 3rd person

The Dark Is Rising series by Susan Cooper: I've yet to see this not classed as Fantasy. There are hints of romance through it. but it's not a big deal.

From what I can remember, (haven't read in YEARS) the whole series is told from a male's perspective
