i need 15 major events here is what ive got so far 1. “father agreed to finance me for a year, and after various delays I came East, permanently, I thought, in the spring of twenty-two” (pg. 3) (Nick moving to West Egg)

2. “I drove over there to have dinner with the Tom Buchanans , Daisy was my second cousin once removed, and I’d known tom in college “ (pg. 5) (Nick meets up with Daisy and Tom)
3. “I believe that on the first night I went to Gatsby’s house I was one of the few who had been invited” (pg. 41) (Nick gets invited to Gatsby’s party)

4. “I turned again to my new acquaintance, this is an unusual party for me, I haven’t even seen the host, I live over there--….and this man Gatsby sen over his chauffeur with an invitation,”… “I’m Gatsby” (pg. 47-48) (Nick meets Gatsby)

5. “Were getting of f , I want you to meet my girl” (pg. 24) (Tom shows nick his other woman)

6. “he wants to know, if you’ll invite daisy to your house some afternoon and then let him come over” (pg. 78) (Jordan, Gatsby and Nick arranging to have Gatsby and Daisy meet at Nick’s house)

7. “Daisy, that’s all over now, it doesn’t matter anymore, just tell him the truth-that you never loved him – and its all wiped out forever” (pg. 132) (Gatsby and Daisy tell tom about there affair and Daisy tells Tom she doesn’t love him)

8. “Was Daisy driving” “yes… Daisy turned away from the woman toward another car, and then she lost her nerve and turned back, the second my hand reached the wheel I felt the shock” (pg. 143-144)(Daisy accidentally hit and killed Tom’s “girl” in the street)


9. “It was after we started with Gatsby towards the house that the gardener saw Wilson’s body a little way off in the grass, and the holocaust was complete” (pg.162) (Wilson killed Gatsby and then killed himself)

10. “it was Gatsby’s father, a solemn old man, very helpless and dismayed …” (pg. 167) (Nick meets Gatsby’s father )


11. “on the last night, with my trunk packed and my car sold to the grocer, I went over and looked at that huge incoherent failure of a house once more”(pg. 179) (Nick decides to return back west)




OH and btw they have to be quotes but if u dont know the quote please tell me anyway thanks

12 that no one comes to Gatsby's funeral despite his popular parties 'the poor son of a *****'



13 Gatsby doesn't recognise the snubs on the west egg people, highlighting the facade that is his life or alternatively the car crash with owl eyes at one of his parties



14 Gatsby's revelations about his life with dan cody and being swindled out of money by his wife



15 gatsby's first experience of his love for daisy and his comment that her voice is 'full of money'

1. Nick visits Tom and Daisy in East Egg, 2. where he meets Jordan Baker. 3. Tom invites Nick to meet his mistress Myrtle, and 4. Tom breaks her nose. The party ends in violence and disaster. 5. Nick attends Gatsby's first party. Jordan is there. 6. Nick lists Gatsby's guests and drives into NY with Gatsby. 7. In the city, Gatsby introduces Nick to Meyer Wolfsheim and arranges to tryst with Daisy. Nick starts seeing Jordan. 8. Gatsby and Daisy meet at Nick's. 9. Daisy attends a Gatsby party, dislikes it. She cannot bring herself to do so; Tom is victorious. This the climax of the love story. 11. On the drive home Daisy, in Gatsby's car, runs over Myrtle. 12. George Wilson, distraught over his wife, traces Gatsby and after shooting him in the pool commits suicide. 13. Nick tries to arrange for Gatsby's funeral; no one comes except the Owl Eyes. 14. Disillusioned Nick breaks up with Jordan, and 15. returns to the Midwest whence he came.
