harry potter was a half-blood because his mother lily was a muggle-born witch so what about albus severus potter? eventhough ginny is a pure blood and harry is a half-blood. so does this make albus severus potter a pure blood because unlike harry both his parents are witch and a wizard.

Just to be clear, Lily was not a half-blood or pure-blood, despite what some people are saying. She was a muggle-born, making Harry a half-blood.

Now, as Harry married a pure-blood, it makes his child technically three-quarters, however, for simplifying the system, he would still be counted as a half-blood. This is stated on the Potter Wiki profiles.

Rowling never confirmed how many times a family would have to continue marrying pure-bloods to be considered pure-blooded once again. It is suggestible, however, that the descendants of Albus would still be considered half-blood due to his close genetic relation to a half-blood.

Actually, Harry was not a half-blood. A half-blood is someone who has one muggle parent. Both Harry's parents belonged to the Wizarding World. He was not a pure-blood either, for pure-blood wizards claim not to have muggle relatives. He was what I would call a mixed-blood. I guess Al is a mixed-blood as well - though he is leaning towards the pure-blood side of the wizarding population.

Anyone with direct Muggle ancestors is considered half-blood, so yes, Albus, Lily II and James II are still half-bloods.

So we each take half from our parents, right? So if one parent was half German and half English and one parent 100% French, the child would be 50% French and 25% German and 25% English. Thus making Albus half pure on one side, quarter muggle and quarter pure on the other.

He couldn't be pure pure blood because, as you said, harry was half-blood, even though Ginny is a pure blood.

but Lily was a witch, she was just a muggle-born.

So in theory, Albus-Severus would be a three-quarter-blood.

Ginny is a pureblood, and Harry is a half blood, so that would, theoretically, make him 3/4.

Then again, I believe it was Dumbledore that said that there are no true pureblood families.

youve contradicted your own question....harrys mum lily was a half blood, harry is a pure blood and his son is a pure blood.
