Question:
Some questions about Twilight vampires?

1. If Rosalie was raped and bashed during the last night of her human life and was found by Carlisle when he smelt the blood wouldn't Rosalie have been on a missing person's list? Someone in her life would have noticed her absence eventually and reported her missing. So would Rosalie and even Jasper (as he was bitten in the height of the civil war and would have in a human's view simply vanished) have been on any sort of missing persons (cold case considering the time frame) databases?

2. When a person becomes a vampire does their hair still grow? I mean if they get a hair cut will they hair still grow out? Or are you destined to have the same hair you had when you were bitten as a human forever? If so that would really suck if you had had a bad hair-cut when you were bitten.

3. Would the vampires of Twilight be dangerous to Bella when she had her period? I know it's an odd question but having your period is bleeding, It's different from a papercut but it's still bleeding all the same and Bella was 17 when she met the Cullens meaning she would have been getting them by now.

4. I remember Edward saying that the Cullens not celebrating birthdays and therefore being very excited abut being able to celebrate Bella's. Why didn't they just continue celebrating their birthdays or celebrate the date they were turned instead? They do call a newly turned vampire a "newborn" after all.

1- Not sure about Rose but Jasper was turned into a vampire when there was a civil war going on so it is possible that he could have been believed to have died in battle

2.- Im pretty sure their hair stops growing, if when they are turned into vampires they are stuck at that age never changing i do not see why their hair would continue to grow

3- I think (not completely sure) that i read somewhere that period blood is different that its 'dead' blood or some other stupid reason for why it doesn't effect the vampires or the cullen's may plan their hunting trips for when bella has her period

4- It would kind get pointless celebrating birthdays when you live for hundreds of years and never actually get older so Bella's birthday may be special to them

1. I imagine Rosalie and Jasper were both on missing persons databases.. but way back in the day, they didn't have the technology or resources that we do. So there wasn't pictures everywhere or things like that. I'm sure they searched for her.. but obviously never found her. And with Jasper, I'm sure it was reported, but they might have just assumed he was killed during the war when he never turned up.

2. I wondered this also. I don't believe their hair grows,.. but I'm sure if they had a bad haircut, they could just cut it and with all of the money they have, I'm sure they can afford nice hair extentions ;)

3. I read an article stating that blood from your period is considered "dead blood" so it only caused Edward a little extra discomfort but not very much.. it wasn't like fresh blood to him.

4. Bella is the only willing person to ever turn into a vampire. The others didn't have a choice about it and most of them seem unhappy about it. So I doubt they would really want to celebrate a bleak, dark day in their life. Bella's birthday, however, is an important day because she wanted to be turned into a vampire.

Hope this helps :)

The male vampires aren't human, but they are men. That's the whole point. Yes they don't cry, but it never stated whether or not they bleed, they just said if the vampire is winning then it wouldn't be hard to finish the other off. I loved all the books, I can't really understand why people would care as long as they enjoyed a good story, I wondered the same question though. I think it doesn't have to make sense, because as an author, I KNOW that authors can make whatever they want to happen. Stephanie said from the beginning, these are not vampires from anything else or a type, they are just her version of what vampires should be.

1. Rosalie was given up for dead by her own husband. I suppose he didn't bother searching for her, and he suppressed all efforts. People who rape and murder usually do that, or they'd be busted.

Jasper might have been reported for dead, as during that time, they had war (the humans too), and the vampire wars might have been perceived as an epidemic.

2. I believe their hair grows. Vampires don't have a lot of changes, but some of them do occur frequently, like eye-color. But then again, Alice's hair is pretty short for quite a long time. Besides, I doubt you could cut a vampire's hair. It's gotta be pretty hard.

3. I doubt Bella was that stupid. In fact, I doubt anyone is that stupid. I don't think Edward minded. But as a direct response, if you have read Breaking Dawn, you'll know that clothes somewhat mask the smell of blood. So that effect won't be there.

4. Seriously. Imagine if you live forever, how many birthdays would you celebrate? Fifty, Sixty, okay. But when they go into hundred's, I think it'll get boring.

1. Rosalie probably was considered a cold case, Jasper was probably considered missing in action(MIA).

2. Dont know about that

3. Ever since I read eclipse, Ive been wondering that! I guess so. I would be so embarassed if I were her.

4. maybe they used to her being the human

Hope this helps :D

1. I think it said somewhere in the book that they just said she had gone missing and they probably thought Jasper had died in battle

2. You hair grows for a while after you die (My science teacher told me that I think) so their hair would grow a little bit after probably but then it stops

3. I thought that too, but someone told me period blood was dead blood so it was different.

4 I didn't understand that part too :)

Answer to all questions:

They are FICTIONAL books. Yeah In real life there probably would have been a missing persons list with Jasper and Rosalie, but hey, it's a book, and those details weren't specified. Would it make a difference? How would we know if their hair still grows? Ask Stephenie Meyer if she imagined her made-up vampires cutting their hair. Characters in books don't generally specify to us when they have their period, nor to the other characters tell us if they like the smell of it or not. This is sick and a good thing to be left out of the books. Would we really know why they don't celebrate their birthdays? Are you going to find some more enjoyment in the books if someone makes up stupid answers for these stupid questions? They're good books, just leave them as they are.

1.Meyer never explained.

2.Meyer never explained.

3.Meyer never explained.

4.Meyer never explained.

By know you would know that she isn't the best writer. Her vampire mythology sucks, since there was barely any to begin with.

The thing that frustrated me about the Twilight saga was it did not do nothing with is plot. When you have a vampire boyfriend you would expect there would be allot of stuff going on in the book. But thats the worst part, there was more action in a normal romance novel that the whole Twilight series.I would advise Meyer that if she was going to have a vampire book than she better have a good plot.

2) Technically they are dead, and even after you die your hair and nails still grow since they are actually a fungus.
