I don't think regular books will be forgotten. People are so in love with turning a page it is only sooner or later that an e-book reader is made where you turn the page by flipping something and then it would auto adjust back to the original position. Also it just feels easier for some reason to read an e-book

Depends. Ebooks are great because I can pick it up and read it anywhere, anytime - especially as me ereader is on my phone. I can read a few pages when I'm waiting behind that guy at the grocery store who has fifty coupons and can't find them. And the ebooks are cheaper than regular books plus free "shipping." You can even get hundreds of classics for free. But there are definitely times where I just want to sit down with a good old fashioned paper book.

I prefer my Kindle...
1. No need to find space to keep hundreds of books, in my home.
2. Can travel with dozens of books, easily.
3. A lot of the books are free, or cheap.
4. No accidentally losing my place because the bookmark fell out.
5. No need to drive to the library or bookstore.
6. No loaning out books to friends, only to never see them again.
@ Rose... ebooks are actually EASIER on your eyes. The screen on my Kindle is made that way, on purpose. I can't speak for any other e-device, though.

I can appreciate the convenience of an eBook, especially if you're travelling, but I think they lack the soul that a paper copy has. I like to hold a book and follow my progress through it page-wise and keep it in as good a condition as I can.
Also, because anyone can publish whatever they want and sell it as an eBook, the good stuff will get lost among seven shades of shite.

I think that nothing can replace the old fashioned.....even if We have e books it hurts ur eyes if u read 2 much of it... And if it still overshadows the books people would just print those and then read but I'm quite sure that book shops would exist for as long as we live.that's my opinion

I hate the idea of an ebook.I love a good book. ebooks are more expensive than the book, the device is extremly expensive for the price of a lot of books!

it depends on my situation. In a subway i prefer ebooks, and in my bed nothing could replace with an old fashioned book.

I prefer paper and hard cover books.
They don't have a battery that runs down and if you drop them they don't shatter to pieces.
