Good book suggestions?
Okay so i'm thinking about reading more?
Can you suggest books that would keep my attention based on the movies I like?

books that ive read and liked:
running with scissors by augusten burroughs
alice in wonderland by lewis carrol
the looking glass wars by frank beddor
go ask alice by anonymous

and i started on the road by jack karouac and its pretty good so far

some of my favorite movies are:
fight club
requiem for a dream
donnie darko
milk
trainspotting
american history x

im gonna tell you now. DO NOT reccommend the twilight series
i honestly have no interest in reading those books
and yes, im already aware that theyre out there, so if i do want to read them someday, i will
but do not suggest the twilight series.

I need a book with an interesting story, maybe even a dark one
read any good books lately?
have any suggestions whatsoever?

I mean you dont have to stick to the theme i have going
suggest anything you want that you thought was a good read

i am completely open minded to any suggestions

know you said no vampire books...but I think Twilight is great! It's a good book and it's in a humans point of view, not a vampires! It's also a movie. There's: Twilight; New Moon; Eclipse; and Breaking Dawn... Though Breaking Dawn is not out in the cinema's yet... If not Twilight, then how about some Jaqueline Wilson books? They're awesome!!! And really funny. Hope I helped(:

The Hunger Games

by Suzanne Collins

It's not dark as such.. but definitely nowhere close to light

there were only 2 things i didn't like about it

1) its was so intense i bit 3 nails down

2) it ended.. and i have to wait for the next one

Oh thank god you have great taste in movies. I would suggest a number of books by Chuck Palinuk (Author of fight club, my favorit movie) HE is a fantastic author. Try invisible monsters by him.

Also, stephan King. not all his horror stories. But when you get down to it, he is amazing. Try Different Seasons.

also try the authors Goerge Orwell and aldus Huxley.

you've gotta read "In Cold Blood" since you like the darker movies, and I'd suggest Douglas Adams books starting with the "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy." (mostly quirky)

Two old movies I'd like to suggest to you, "Arsenic and Old Lace" and "the Trouble with Harry" - they are dark and funny - keep in mind that they're old black and whites - the first starring Cary Grant with two aunts with questionable bad habits of boarders disappearing, and the second is the first movie Hitchcock made and Shirley MacLaine's first film role.

Be one of the first people ever to read Far Out by Tom Andrews - go to lulu.com and see the first ten pages, then make up your mind. You won't regret it.
