I've read twilight and LOVED it. I also liked the House of Night series, but I'm looking for more series to read that is, of course, about VAMPIRES!!

Anne Rice is an excellent author and has a series on vampires:

Interview with the Vampire

The Vampire Armand

The Vampire Lestat

Memnoch the Devil

Servant of the Bones

etc. these are the only ones I have read

I hate vampire fiction yet love these books, so that should tell you something. However these books are intended for a mature audience and I have never read twilight so can't say how they compare, but be ready for some dark, violent, and sexual themes because she definitely does not censor these topics. They are incredibly descriptive she is an author who will make you feel like you are literally in the same world as these characters, and the stories are really deep, all the books are interconnected and show a different aspect of the same story.

When I was younger I enjoyed Cirque Du Freak, not exceptional but interesting especially if you are younger.

The Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris is really good. It inspired True Blood on HBO. Then there is also Sherrilyn Kenyon's Darkhunter Series. The characters are vampires (sort of). I can vouch for both series. They are my favorite supernatural romance series.

Here are a couple you might enjoy:

- (This is one of the best): Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead. It's about this girl called Rose who is training to look after the Moroi – the good vampires - and protect them from harm against the Strigoi – the bad ones. However, at school, she falls in love with her instructor who is only seven years older than her, is extremely good at killing and is referred to as a ‘badass’ and a ‘god,’ since he has extremely good looks – he is Russian and has “a gorgeous Russian accent.” He falls in love with her too, but it is complicated – because both of them will soon be made to protect Lissa – a Moroi, and to do that, if danger occurs, they need to jump in front of a bullet for her – not each other (which is what would happen if they pursue their love). An extremely good romance with lots of action!

- Jessica’s Guide to Dating on the Dark Side. Blurb on the back of the book: Enter a bizarre new exchange student named Lucius Vladescu who claims Jessica is a Romanian vampire princess by birth and he’s her long lost fiancé. He’s arrogant, officious, embarrassingly overprotective, and, well, incredibly hot.

Armed with a copy of ‘Growing Up Undead: A Teen Vampire’s Guide To Dating, Health and Emotions’, Jessica tries to imagine the transition from average American teenager to glam European vampire princess. But just when things start to heat up with Lucius, a devious cheerleader sets her sights on him.

Soon Jess finds herself fighting to win back her wayward prince, stop a global vampire war – and save Lucius’s soul from eternal damnation. All of which leaves her to wonder: Wouldn’t life be easier if she could just fall for a nice mortal boy?

When I read the blurb, I was a little hesitant – I thought it would be cheesy with the main character reading ‘Growing Up Undead: A Teen Vampire’s Guide To Dating, Health and Emotions,’ but it was great! They gave you an insight into where the story was sometimes heading. The quote in the front of the book to show you was “Just remember, girls: The young male vampire is a predator by nature. Some boys may look at you not only as a romantic interest, but as prey...” It was just like she was reading a text book – it wasn’t cheesy at all. I also fell in love with the characters. Lucius is gorgeous – He pretends to be a school exchange student so he can go to the same school as Jessica to continue to court her, and is tall, muscular, has dark hair and wears thick European boots, a long cloak, is incredibly rich and is ROYAL. He defends Jessica’s ‘honour’ at school, ready to actually kill a person if they talk down to her, and gets extremely jealous when she goes out with an ordinary boy. It’s really cute, and you get to see what he actually thinks about things since he writes letters to his family in Romania, which gives you more of an insight to his character. A great book if you love Vampire romances! (But be prepared to feel heartbroken at times! Some things don’t always work out...)

Hope I heloed!

there is no such thing as "good" vampire romance. that would be an oxymoron.
