Question:
What is the appeal of Harry Potter?

What is the appeal but I don't see. I don't even like the series. I read the first one in sixth grade in '99.

What is so interesting about Harry Potter and his adventures of his school? It reminds me of anime. Non muggles vs. muggles is a ripp-off of X-men. Voldermont's story is very cliched. I think the characters are also cliched.

Please, don't let me to read the books again. I read it and I don't like it. In my opinion, I think the series is another commercial book like King, Crichton, Patterson, and Rice. Good books but don't belong in schools.

However, I'm curious to fans of the book that why you like HP?

Everyone has different opinions, so Harry Potter won't appeal to everyone. However, the people who like Harry Potter like it because it opens a door to an imaginative world. It's more exciting than reading about a normal kid in a normal world. Some people dislike it simply because it's not for them.

It all comes down to personal taste. The books just didn't work for you. That's totally cool. Tomorrow When the War Began just didn't work for me, and I know that book's really well-liked. But I don't think it's a good idea to go online calling it "cliche". There's no winning friends that way.

HP isn't marketed at adults as much as a younger audience. There's no deep meaning to it (though there's some nice themes of friendship and whatnot); it's just a fun HF adventure story. If you're into the works of King, for example, then I take it you like a more serious tone to your stories. Am I right?

"Please don't let me read the books again"? Mate, at the end of the day, it's quite simple. If you don't like it, don't read it. Read those books that you do like.

It's writing is alot better than some commercial teen novels, like Twilight. It has a good setting, I cant say that I've read books where witches and wizards are portrayed like that. It is very fantastical. I enjoy it. Jo actually put thought into her world, and doesn't break the rules that she set up in her world. Unlike in twilight, where Smeyer breaks plenty of rules. Like Edward being able to get her pregnant, even though he shouldn't have semen that works (the sperm would have died being at that cold body temperature) Im only bashing twilight because I saw your other question.

I'm a massive fan of Harry Potter but find it difficult to explain why, I will give it a shot. If you're a fan you're a fan. Ask yourself why you like things, why it attracts you and then maybe it'll answer why you don't like it.

I like Harry Potter because of how magical Hogwarts is, how unique the characters are and their wacky names, I like how creative JK Rowling is, all the terms and new things she has made up. Seriously, Quidditch? It's great. I like in the movies how it has a mixture of humor with fantasy. Also their accents are adorable ^_^

First off, there is no muggle vs. wizard in it,unless you mean Dudley and Harry.?

**Voldemort

There is no reason for them not to belong in schools,

I like the idea of magic. Of being able to do things others can't,to be able to fly or become invisible, etc. And J.K Rowling is a very talented writer.

Oh,and I have no idea who the other authors are.
