I know there's a rain scene in the movie Pride and Prejudice, but I'm not sure if that was just for the movie, or if a scene happened with Darcy and Elizabeth in the rain in the book. If someone could let me know, that would be great!

I need to know this ASAP, it's for an example of a book with a symbolic rain scene. I've read P&P before, but it was a long time ago.

Thanks for the help!

In the book, the scene where Darcy proposes takes place in the Collins's home. They have gone to Rosings to have tea, leaving Elizabeth behind. She has become ill after hearing in church that Darcy interfered in her sister's romance. She is alone at the Collins's house when Darcy comes in and starts talking about his "struggle".
