Hey, I'm fourteen and I'm tired of staring at my library at the same books over and over again. Are there any books out there that are really good? I love anything fantasy/fiction, though not anything girly. And I'm not looking for Twilight, Vampire Diaries, Pretty Little Liars, or any other of the shtick. They're not bad books, really. I've read them personally, but honestly I'm not a big vampire, werewolf, girly secrets etc. fan.

The Hunger Games, Suzanne Collins
Morpheus Road Trilogy, D.J. MacHale
Pendragon, D.J. M.
James Patterson stuff like Witch and Wizard and Daniel X. (I've read Maximum Ride, but I honestly didn't like the series too much after the fourth book.
The Legend of Phoenix Mountain, Tinabot (Tina Tsai).
Skeleton Creek, Patrick Carman
Trackers, Patrick C.
13 Days to Midnight, Patrick C.
The Mortal Instruments, Cassandra Clare
Ender's Game, Orson Scott Card
I Am Number Four, Pittacus Lore.
GONE series, Michael Grant.
Storms of Vengeance, John Beachem
Hidden Talents, David Lubar
Brave New World, Aldous Huxley
Artemis Fowl, Eion Colfer
Graceling, Kristin Cashore
The Chaos, Rachael Ward
Eragon Inheritance Cycle, Christopher Paolini
Percy Jackson, Rick Riordan
Kane Chronicles, Rick R.
Heroes of Olympus, Rick R.
Alex Rider, Anthony Horowitz
Maze Runner, James Dashner
Nicolas Flemmel, Michael Scott

I loved these books. Anything like them, please tell me.

I admire young people who "eat" books. I will back with some lists for you....

Ok I had to go look at my bookcase. I think you are ready for several authors, go get some of their books and have fun:

Orson Scott Card

Neil Gaimon

Arthur C Clark

Issac Bashevis Singer

Stephen King

(avoid Dean Koontz, awful writer)

Sumerset Maughm

Richard Adams

Jack Keroac

Richard Brautigan

Go to your library or local college. and get some help joining a book club. When I was your age, I would go through the library by genre, getting poetry one month, biography another, and so on. It will expand your reading abilities, your education, and your love for literature.
