Also i read the series by Garth Nix (Mister Monday...Drowned Wednesday...Lady Friday..) andddd i also like the book of mordred. that book was EVERYTHING to me for a while. and so now i need to find a good book!! i want one just like the ones ive read because im in love with the fantasy.

You might like a trilogy of books written by Marion Zimmer Bradley called 'The Forests of Avalon', 'Lady of Avalon' and 'The Mists of Avalon'.

They are all connected with the mythology surrounding King Arthur. The first book is set in the 1st century AD and it's about the priestesses of Avalon who serve the Goddess. The last book is the story of King Arthur and Avalon told from the point of view of his half sister Morgaine.

It's a really good set of books, especially the last one. The main focus in all the books is on the women who serve the Goddess and the old religion of Britain before Christianity became the main religion.

Fantasy is my business. Okay, there are so many fantastic books out there, so I can understand why you may want some help in choosing.

For the Eragon fan in you, I would suggest the "Maximum Force," series, which is about genetically designed teenagers that can fly.

For the Harry Potter fan however, I have a number of suggestions, first and foremost being, The Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer. I was a Harry Potter FREAK and love absolutely Twilight. Other possibilities would be the, " Vampire Academy," series by Rachelle Mead, the "Blue Bloods," series, the ," A Great and Terrible Beauty," series, the, "Uglies," series, or the "Seven Deadly Sins," series, (for an older, more mature reader.)

There are so many amazing books out there, I hope this helps!!

First of all, you need to read Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit if you haven't already (and I'm guessing not cause you haven't mentioned it). Then, if you really like Tolkien's work, you should read The Children of Hurin and The Silmarillion, in that order. Then, if you liked The Silmarillion, you should look at a book of Norse mythology called The Kalevala.

The Chronicles of Narnia series by CS Lewis is another must-read fantasy series. Yes, it was written for children and contains talking animals, but it's still one of the best classic fantasy series ever.

Neverwhere, Stardust, and American Gods by Neil Gaiman (they aren't a series) are some of my other favorite fantasy novels.

HP Lovecraft is my favorite horror/fantasy author, my favorite books of his are The Call of Cthulhu and At the Mountains of Madness,

The Wheel of Time series, by Robert Jordan, is a pretty awesome fantasy series.

There's a book called Sunshine, I forget the author's name, but it's probably the best vampire book I've ever read.

Shadowmancer by GP Taylor is kinda dark, but heavy on the magic and pretty cool, especially for the kind of people who liked Harry Potter.

If you really like the whole talking-animal thing, then the Redwall series by Brian Jacques is pretty cool.
COOLEY FAN!!

I have answered this question so many times, I decided to dedicate a web site to answer this question. Here it is:

http://www.life-after-harry-potter.com

Included is a list of only the best sorcery fantasy books, grade reading level, a short review of each book along with a brief summary of adult content. There is also a "Readers' Choice" list of favorite books, and a list of heroine sorcery fantasy books, plus a full review of "The Golden Compass".

I hope this helps.

Mm, I suggest "The Hollow Kingdom Trilogy" series by Clare Dunkle :) It's got a lot of Fantasy, and all three books work their way into each other very well.

Also-

"Tithe" and "Ironside" by Holly Black

"Wicked Lovely" and "Ink Exchange" by Melissa Marr

If you like those, you would most likely like the Inkheart trilogy by Cornelia Funke, they are Inkheart, Inkspell, and the third book, Inkdeath, comes out in October. You would probably like Dragon Rider, that is by Cornelia Funke, also.

John Beachem: Storms of Vengeance is John's first novel and I've been told that it is part of a series of 8 to 10 books. There is a murder mystery to be solved. Who did it and why? There is a mythical Lorradda Stone to locate. There are three parallel stories as we follow the actions of three different groups of people. There are also some ogres, two elves, several sorcerers, a troll, and one very impressive river monster. The book ends with a cliff hanger. One reason that young people gave for liking Harry Potter was the detail in the stories. They will find plenty of detail here as well. The title of the second book in the series will be The Hunter and the Marked.

David Eddings: There are three stories in Volume I of The Belgariad: Pawn of Prophecy, Queen of Sorcery, and Magician's Gambit. Volume II of The Belgariad has two stories: Castle of Wizardry and Enchanters' End Gambit. If you are looking for grand adventure and plenty of detail it is here. Some may object to the slow progression and limited action of this tale. A sorcerer and his daughter, a sorceress, have gathered together a group of individuals to fight evil. It seems that the particular make-up for this group is necessary based upon an ancient prophecy. The group includes: the Nimble Thief, the Man with Two Lives, the Blind Man, the Dreadful Bear, the Knight Protector, the Horse Lord, the Bowman, the Queen of the World, and the Mother of the Race that Died. A young boy named Garion, who was raised by his Aunt Pol, is caught up in all of this, though he doesn't know why. But then, is she really his Aunt? There is so much detail that I have not as yet confirmed there are no mistakes in the mapping of the story. I thoroughly enjoyed The Belgariad and look forward to reading the sequel, The Mallorean.

The Mallorean Volume I: Guardians of the West, King of the Murgos, and Demon Lord of Karanda by David Eddings

The Mallorean Volume II: Sorceress of Darshive and The Seeress of Kell by David Eddings
