He is exceptional at baseball and was proclaimed as a "child prodigy" by his coach at the tender age of eight. This caused his emotionally unstable and slightly alcoholic father to push him way too hard at the sport, and he now wants nothing to do with it anymore. Every time he sees baseball on television, he cringes and immediately changes the channel. He doesn't even like it when people talk about it.
When he was twelve years old, he donated one of his kidneys to his best friend since they met when they were only four. The two of them are inseparable, always have been and always will be. They grew up together, and they are still close.
He is entirely logical and has a hard time accepting things that don't make sense to him. He is sometimes unforgivably stubborn and loves to be right, which just means he can't stand being wrong. He is never one to admit when he doesn't feel well, is exhausted even when it's obvious, or if someone or something has made him upset. He's a "stone wall" in the fact that he has a hard time opening up to people.
Of course, there are exceptions to his "wall-ness" attitude. His best friend has always been there for him no matter what, so he will mention what is wrong, but he never goes into any elaborate detail. His friend will try to help him, but sometimes it doesn't work. His wife of three years is the *main* person he goes to, but it's still sometimes a struggle to get him to open up and know it's okay to feel sad or emotional.
His escape from life is music. He can sit and play the piano, his true passion, for hours and hours on end. He can also play the guitar, drums, alto saxophone, and trumpet. It helps him get his anger and frustration out, and it's easy access.

Please DO NOT suggest any crazy or too "out there" of names for him. Remember, he was born in the 1980's, so nothing too modern that screams "2013." I like simple, masculine, and handsome names. Please don't list James, Sean, or Zachary. I was personally thinking names like Nick or something. Any ideas?
