If ever there was a question made for me... I am an avid reader and obsessed with the written word, you should see my bookcase.

Deception Point by Dan Brown (unreal and excellent)

anything by Elizabeth Berg (she writes what women want to say but can't seem to get out, she is superb)

My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult (so sad, but sooo good)

Salem Falls by Jodi Picoult (again sooo good, she is an amazing writer)

Any of the books by Tracy Chevalier: Girl with the Pearl Earring, the Virgin Blue, I just read The Lady and the Unicorn.

Currently I am reading To Feel Stuff by 26 yr old Andrea Seigel

The Memory Keeper's Daughter by Kim Edwards, and

Haunted by Chuck Palahniuk

by the way, anything by Chuck Palahniuk is well worth your time as well. email me at erin_loves_potter@yahoo.com if you have any other book questions or what not, i love books...

I just finished Marley and Me by John Grogan. It's currently the no. 1 best selling nonfiction book. It's the story of a very spirited dog and his wonderful family. It's one of the funniest books I have ever read and laughed outloud. It's fast paced. I finished it in about 4 days.

I am currently reading 2 others, Big Stone Gap (sorry don't remember the author offhand) and an old favorite of mine When Calls the Heart by Janette Oke. Both are slow paced but wonderful with charming characters and atmosphere.

Well if you are looking for ideas:

Both Bridget Jones books are hilarious those are by Helen Fielding. These are different from the movies if you've seen the movies. They are MUCH better in my opinion.

The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd is really heart-felt and touching.

I'm in the process of reading a book called The True story of Hansel and Gretel. It's a story about Nazi occupation of Poland and these two Jewish children that are abandoned in a forest and have to take care of themselves. So far its excellent. It's written by Louise Murphy.

My mum loved reading the Memory Keepers Daughter by Kim Edwards. She said I should read that one after. I'm not really sure what its about though.

And if you want to read a book you can't put down then I suggest My Sisters Keeper by Jodi Picoult. Its about a girl who was concieved to be a donor match for her sister who has cancer. She decides that she doesn't want to be a donor anymore and sues her parents. It's so good. I didn't even expect the ending.

Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series; one for the money, two for the dough, three to get deadly, four to score, high five, hot six, seven up, hard eight, to the nines, ten big ones, eleven on top and twelve sharp.

Also Metro Girl by Evanovich is a good one.

A trilogy by Sylvia Nobel; A Kendall O'Dell series: Deadly Sanctuary, The Devil's Cradle and Dark Moon Rising.

Happy Reading!

Some already know the TV Show well, reading the book takes us deeper into the story, and is just as funny because we can visualize correctly...

From the hit TV show "Monk" on USA...come the new book series...

Mr. Monk Goes to the Firehouse, Book One

Mr. Monk Goes to Hawaii, Book Two

The next in the series is coming out in Jan. of next year.

Product Details:

Price: $6.99

By: Lee Goldberg, Andy Breckman (Creator)

Format: Mass Market Paperback, 304pp

Publisher: Penguin Group (USA)

FROM THE PUBLISHER: Book One

The brand-new mystery series starring the brilliant, beloved, and slightly off-balance sleuth from the USA Network's hit show!

Monk's house is being fumigated, and he has nowhere to go. Fortunately, his assistant Natalie and her daughter are kind enough to welcome him into their home. Unfortunately, their home is not quite up to Monk's standards of cleanliness and order.

But while Monk attempts to arrange his surroundings just so, something else needs to be put straight. The death of a dog at the local firehouse-on the same night as a fatal house fire-has led Monk into a puzzling mystery. And much to his horror, he's going to have to dig through a lot of dirt to find the answer.

FROM THE PUBLISHER: Book Two

Some people think Hawaii is paradise. But Monk knows that danger -- like dirt -- lurks everywhere. Look at Helen Gruber, the rich tourist who took a fatal blow from a coconut. The police say it fell from a tree, but Monk suspects otherwise. His assistant, Natalie, isn’t exactly thrilled about Monk’s latest investigation. It was bad enough that Monk followed her on vacation, and now it looks as though the vacation is over....

Smooth-talking TV psychic Dylan Swift is on the island and claims to have a message from beyond -- from Helen Gruber. Monk has his doubts about Swift’s credibility. But finding the killer and proving Swift a fraud -- all while coping with geckos and the horror of unsynchronized ceiling fans -- may prove a tough coconut to crack....

I absolutely LOVE "The Time Traveller's Wife" by Audrey Niffenegger. This is the write up from Chapters.ca

Audrey Niffenegger''s innovative debut, The Time Traveler''s Wife, is the story of Clare, a beautiful art student, and Henry, an adventuresome librarian, who have known each other since Clare was six and Henry was thirty-six, and were married when Clare was twenty-three and Henry thirty-one. Impossible but true, because Henry finds himself periodically displaced in time, pulled to moments of emotional gravity from his life, past and future. His disappearances are spontaneous, his experiences unpredictable, alternately harrowing and amusing.

The Time Traveler’s Wife depicts the effects of time travel on Henry and Clare''s marriage and their passionate love for each other, as the story unfolds from both points of view. Clare and Henry attempt to live normal lives, pursuing familiar goals -- steady jobs, good friends, children of their own. All of this is threatened by something they can neither prevent nor control, making their story intensely moving and entirely unforgettable.

Read it ! It is an awesome book!

The Long, Dark Teatime Of The Soul. Momentary loss of intelligence made me forget the author, but he wrote the Hitchiker's Guide To The Galaxy books, too. I'm usually not this stupid, lol.

Read "Come Closer" by Sara Gran. It won't scare you so bad while you're reading it. But when you're done, it'll sit in your head for weeks and not let you sleep. It's an excellent book, very real. Gran is AWESOME.

Another fun one is Patricia Highsmith's "Little Tales of Misogyny" -- it's incredibly screwed up and strange, but so is/was Patricia Highsmith. An absolute weirdo treat. And read "Strangers on a Train" by her too. Hitchcock turned it into a movie in the 50's as well, and it too is an excellent work.

I recently read Twelve Sharp by Janet Evanovich. It's the twelth book in the series but you don't have to read them in any particular order. The series is hilarious! It's about a young woman from NJ who needs a job and finally finds one as a bounty hunter for her cousin. You should check the first one out. It's called One for the Dough. Have fun!

despite the fact that "The Case against Barack Obama" is probable to be in general fiction, i don't think of that's precisely what you're searching for. i latterly examine "the beautiful Bones" and theory that replaced into super. The e book is written from the perspective of a murdered 14 12 months previous woman who's finding down on her kinfolk from an extremely exciting version of heaven. i could additionally propose all the Francesca Lia Block books.

absolutely--in the non-fiction category: *a complete idiot's guide to toltec wisdom*, explains how human consciousness operates. it explains techniques and methods to help you to prevent your mind from constantly running amuck and thereby driving you crazy. knowing the material presented here will help you to avoid the popular dysfunctions and dramas experienced daily by most humans. it keeps the aggravation factor at a bearable level. *gnosis of the cosmic christ*--the other end of the spectrum from fundamentalist christianity. explains the esoteric aspects of the religion. those which actually help you experience "divine energy", as opposed to merely babbling about hell and damnation. it also discusses mary magdalene and her role "in it all". highly recommended for the open minded with a 3 digit i.q. finally, *keys to the kingdom--jesus and the mystic kaballah* very esoteric, not for entry level types who want to be told what to think and do. very rewarding, and certainly not dull. have fun! :-)

Lisa Scottoline's Dead Ringer. I know this quite a way back, but I just got my grubby hands on it. It's hilarious! A lawyer on the verge of bankruptcy got the biggest case in her life and it's not even in her fore. I read it in one sitting because it was smart, hilarious and naughty, like an adorable puppy.

Eat,Pary, Love - by Elizabeth Gilbert. It's a true story about a woman who goes through a horrible divorce, etc., decides to travel to explore 3 different aspects of herself in countries that embody those things. She travels to Italy to explore pleasure (through food), to India to explore devotion, and to Indonesia to explore balance. It's funny, lots to learn about interesting cultures, and interesting personal exploration. It will go into my "favorite books" category.
