I am reading The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson. These kind of books aren't really my thing, but it was 5 dollars at the grocery store and I hear great things about it, so I picked it up.

I am incredibly surprised by how well written and interesting it is. Kuddos to Stieg and whoever translated it from Swedish for a job well done. For it to be lumped with the crappy "crime fiction" stuff is almost sad, as it is more complex and intelligent that a lot of those books which are all about pace and the next big thrill. I am enjoying it very much thus far, and if it ends as well as it started, I will most definitely be reading the rest of the trilogy.

Blood Orange Brewing by Laura Childs Book Details: Social darling Delaine Dish is throwing a lavish Candlelight Concert to raise funds to restore a run-down Victorian home-and Theodosia Browning is more than happy to help out with tea and tasty treats from the Indigo Tea Shop.

Unfortunately, the unveiling of Theo's opulent spread proves to be far from grand after retired CEO and beloved politico Duke Wilkes falls to the floor with a jagged piece of metal protruding from his neck. When the Widow Wilkes begs Theo to apply her sleuthing skills, she can't refuse. But her investigation opens up a simmering pot of shady politics and personal payback, and Theo soon finds herself in a situation stickier than any jam she's ever served.

The book is number seven in the Tea Shop Mysteries Series.

I'm 65 pages in so far. Yes I love to read the tea shop mysteries by Laura Child's evidence is this is book seven and I've read 1-6. If I didn't like them I wouldn't have read all of them. Blood Orange Brewing is really good Theo and friend's are just now beginning to investigate the murder and things are just getting good. I'm sure soon Theodosia will land in hot water as she always does. I recommend the series to all mystery lover's and tea lover's. At the back of the book there are recipes and tea tips too. - Cass

I'm reading Lyddie, by Katherine Paterson. I'm on page 147 of 182. In the beginning it was okay. It was good but not something I would go crazy over and want to read every second. Now I'm way into it and today in literature while reading it I started crying, and then something good happened so a huge smile came on my face. I was trying to hide the whole time. haha

I’m re-reading Far From the Madding Crowd right now. I’m 79 pages in and love it. Sometimes I’m in the mood to re-live a story I haven’t touched for a few years. It’s my favourite romance. People shouldn't be put-off by the fact it's a classic.

I've been meaning to read this one for quite a while now; Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. I'm sixteen pages in. I read it about a year ago, only a few pages, and couldn't stand it because I couldn't understand the writing. I can now; and I think it's going to be a good read :)

I'm reading 'Marxism and the Philosophy of Language' by V.N. Voloshinov. I don't have it to hand, but I've read about 50 pages--so far it is excellent.

Thanks for asking! :)
