Do you even realize how contradictory all those sentences you've written sound ? Take some time and re-read your information below, if you please. I'm sure it will crack you up.
First of all, you my friend are here to receive some honest opinions from people you don't even know or heard of. So, why do you even bother to exclude the fact that one of us will, obviously, tell you a way to "come up with ideas on your own?" (which is the way things should be done, if you want my opinion). One of these ways is looking around, getting inspired, things all writers - pardon me, all "truly creative" writers - do.
You have a Wattpad account - so what ? Does this make you more of a talented person than the rest of us ?
Then again, you claim to be writing for pure fun. If that's the case, then future publication is not even an option for the time being, right ? If we take into consideration that writing is NOT your source of income, then it is just an innocent hobby like all the other hobbies that you might as well have, then why can't you sit down and think of a plot ? Is this, by any means, rude ? I call it a straight-forward truth. You enjoy writing, still you want others to post a story idea for you, in a site like this ?
Secondly (and this made my whole day for real) you also claim to be "creative" and you even have the ambition of becoming an author - which means you also seek publication. Well, I'd love to see you getting past a single chapter if you don't even know how to come up with your own ideas.
And why do you even confuse putting ideas on paper with coming up with those ideas ? This is a completely different thing. Coming up with a plot is irrelevant to the fact that you face difficulties when writing these ideas on a piece of paper (or in your computer). Someone can come up with a concept without necessarily being a good writer - or a writer at all.
Then you also say that you "think up plenty of ideas" ....
My question remains whatsoever : Why do you want us to ....share our own ideas with you ? What's the point of it ? By what I've just read, you let me have a clear picture of someone who's just procrastinating and "would love to have a story written" rather than "write a story" ....
Let's see what other people think of my answer.
Am I being honest or rude ?
Thumbs up and thumps down will be the judge of that-either way, I feel vindicated ....
