In short, I won't choose iPad or Nook Color, because they're using backlight screen like computer screen, and is difficult to our eyes. Just not suitable for reading purpose. For other ebook readers including the B&N Nook, Sony Reader, and Amazon Kindle, I'll go for the Kindle. For the Sony Reader, many books (especially new releases) cannot be easily find on it. For the Nook, it is good but it is slower and less user friendly compared to the new version of Kindle.

There is also quite a good comparison between the ebook readers here:

It depends on what you're after.

The Nook, which comes in LCD, has a full-color model. This is great for diagrams, images, and comics. It's screen is bigger than a Kindle.

The Kindle, which uses e-ink, is in black and white and has no glare. Great for hours of reading. It's also the smallest and lightest to bring around.

The iPad can be used for many other things aside from reading, but it's bigger, heavier, and more expensive.

If you can afford it, I think the iPad. Why? Because you can read ePub format books (it comes with iBooks app), along with Kindle and Nook books all on the same device. On top of that, you can also do a whole lot more with it. You can read and send email, have your calendar and contact list on it, you can surf the web on it, you can post to Facebook and Twitter from it, you can watch YouTube videos on it, you can play any number of different games on it, you can listen to baseball games on it, and thousands and thousands of other things you can do on it with the right app.

But, like anything else, the more features like this included in the device, the higher the price.

Hello, KiKi, forget Kindle, and Kobo, and Cruz, and Sony, and iPad. Out of all eReaders on the market, Nook from Barnes & Noble is the best combination of price and features. You can get Nook e-Ink (3G or Wi-Fi) or Nook Color Android tablet (Wi-Fi). 3G means the internet connection is included for free for the life of the device thus you can download a new book even when you're walking on the street. Wi-Fi means that you need to have access to wireless hotspot - one example would be any Barnes & Noble store that provides free Wi-Fi to Nook's or at your home to download ebooks. There's over a million of free public ebooks as well as over a million of ebooks that you need to pay for available through Barnes & Noble eBook store. Prices are generally much lower than for physical books.

Nook wins.

- Nook allows to lend Nook books for two weeks to friends and family or share with your other devices that run B&N app (PC, MAC, Android phones, Apple iPhone, iPod and iPad, etc.) Barnes & Noble allows (when you walk in with the Nook to B&N store) to read any available eBook for free while in the store via free provided in the store Wi-Fi. With Nook, while in BN store you get exclusive articles from top authors, and great offers including cafe treats and unique deals.

- Nook (unlike Kindle) can be used for library ebooks.

- Nook (unlike Kindle) can be used for renting text-ebooks.

- Nook Color is better as a color e-Reader than Kindle simply because it has color and Kindle is black and white. Content that greatly benefits from color - such as kids books, magazines, graphs and charts in college test books - looks much better and sharper on Nook Color's screen.

- Nook Color is better as an e-Reader in general than iPad. It has a new generation screen which is anti-glare coated and is better performing in sunlight than iPad's. Also, as it's smaller in size than iPad, the text appears sharper on Nook's screen.

- Nook Color has been picked as the editors’ choice by PC Magazine and CNET while pro reviewers of other sites (ZDNet, Engadget, AllThingsDigital, NY Times, etc.) mentioned that it tested to be pretty fast for apps and PDF's, and has a beautiful screen.

- Nook Color has available first on the market12,000 (more soon) kids books that are built as a game with feedback.

- Overall, Nook Color is more than e-Reader as you can also watch video and use Android applications on it. It's a hybrid device, much more than just an e-Reader but not a full tablet as it doesn't have a camera. If all you want is to read novels, Kindle (or the original e-Ink Nook) might be better for you. If you want something more from your device at half of the price of iPad or Galaxy tab, then Nook Color is your best bet.
