ok, so i just finished the last harry potter book and it was amazing! I just am confused with some parts WARNING-- SPOILERS!:

1. At the end, when Harry is thought to be dead, where did Neville get Griffindore's sword from?!?
2. At the very end, when Harry is talking to Dumbeldore's picture in the office, Harry says he will not find the stone but will keep the gift from Ignotus. What is that gift?!?
3. And lastly, in the epilogue, when Albus asks why everyone is staring at his father-- did Harry not tell his kids of his past?

THANKS!

(1) "In one swift, fluid motion, Neville broke free of the Body- Bind Curse upon him; the flaming hat fell off him and he drew from it's depths something silver, with a glittering, rubied handle-" So he got the sword from the Hogwarts sorting hat, just like Harry did in his hour of need in Chamber of Secrets. Any worthy Gryffindor in great need could pull Gryffindor's sword from the hat, obviously some kind of link Gryffindor created when he enchanted the hat in the beginning.

(2) He left the Resurrection Stone in the forest, and after he said he did not want the Elder Wand, so he was talking about the third Deathly Hallow, which had been passed down through the family, the Invisibility Cloak.

(3) No, Harry didn't tell them about his past apparently. He may tell them in the future, when he thinks that they are ready, but I guess that's just his choice.

1. Neville got it from the Sorting Hat, like Harry did in Chamber of Secrets. That's because the sword can be pulled out by a true Gryffindor who needs it.

2. The Invisibility Cloak

3. Well, maybe he did tell them in some sort of way, and it might be that Albus and the other kids just looked at him as a great dad and didn't really understand that the others see him as someone famous and important. I mean, I believe they would have to know who their father is to the world but well...Harry always kinda hated being so famous and having everyone stare at him, so maybe he didn't make such a big deal about it.

1. Voldy said that there would be no more sorting. He summond the hat and started a fire with it and said this will be the punishment if anyone speaks against him, and he put it on Neville's head. But as it was said in the second book, only a true gryffie could pull the sword out of the hat. So the sword fell out of the hat on Nevilles head.

2.The invisability cloak.

3.I'm sure he did for you know, story time, but I guess it didn't accure to them that it was such a big deal.

1.in the 2nd book dumbdore said that only a true gryffindore can pull the sword out of the hat and that was what Neville did.

2.the gift is the invisibility cloak that harry got from his father

3.i think he did tell them but I'm not sure.i guess that when they got to platform 9 3/4 they didn't think that it was such a big deal.until everyone started staring

1. Neville got it out of the sorting hat, just like harry did in book 2, because the sword comes out of that hat for any true gryffindor, not matter where the sword is.

2. i think its the cloak

3. Harry is a very humble kid. he hated that everyone only looked at him as "the boy who lived" so its possible he wanted to raise his kids without knowing he was famous.

Just finished it myself last night...Whew!

1) I was a bit flummoxed as to where Neville got the sword from, too. I read that passage a couple of times, and it sounds to me like he pulled it out of the flaming wreckage of the Sorting Hat.

2)The gift from Ignotus is the Cloak.

3)Harry, being the mostest bloke he is, probably didn't tell his kids all about it, but you can be sure they'll hear all about it from their friends at school!

2.The invisibility cloak

3.He didn't want his kids to get a big head-and remember Harry was always a humble dude

1) from the sorting hat like Harry did in the 2nd book

2)The gift is the Invisibility cloak cuz Iggy is his ancestor

3)I think Harry told his kids a general story of wat he did but Albus just might notve realizzed the importance of Harry's heroic acts yet
