So I really want to read the hunger games, but I'm not sure what it's about and if it'll be boring.
1.) What is it about?
2.) Did you like it or not?
3.) Are there any similar books like this?

1.) It's based in the future. Every year a remembrance like "game" takes place to remember the war that happened 74 years ago. Kids' (12-18) names are drawn from around Panem (Future USA) to take place in the "game" where they all fight literally to the death and the last one standing wins money, fame, and all that junk. It's from a 16 year old girl's point of view.
2.) I liked it.
3.) I can't think of any right now because it's very original.
p.s. It's not quite as violent as it seems even though it has it's parts...

1) its about this girl Katniss that goes into the hunger games. The hunger game is an event in which there are two tributes(kids) from each district (There are 12) put into an arena and basically must fight eachother to survive. There are alliances and enimies made easily. (this is the first book and it sounds way better than my explanation)
2) I loved the series and the first book was my favorite! It is one of the most exciting books ive read.
3) The Maze Runner series is alot like the hunger games and I'm currently reading the second book and waiting to get the third!

The book itself, is told from the point of view of Katniss Everdeen who is living in a era where North America has been split into thirteen sections, The 12 districts and the Capitol. The capitol (where the wealthy live) control the districts with an Iron fist to prevent rebellion and to exercise their dominance hold an event known as the 'Hunger Games' once every year. Where 2 candidates (children from ages 12-18) from each district are thrown into an arena in a battle to the death, with the lone winner getting to live and their district receiving more food and provisions than the other for that year.
So I hope you enjoy following Katniss in her adventure
P.S the book is on the Kindle store and has a 5 star rating

It's basically set in the future and it's about a place called Panem with 12 Districts (or is there just 12;)) and a male and female between the age of 12-18 is selected through lottery to fight to the death in the annual hunger games and Katniss' 12 year old sister Prim is chosen to fight but Katniss volunteers for her, Peeta is chosen as the male, and you discover he's in love with her etc..
It is amazing, i love it, i more than love it. Read it, I haven't yet found somebody who didn't enjoy the trilogy.
I don't think there is anything similar to it, but stuff like Gone- Michael Grant, The Maze Runner- James Dashner, fall into the same sort of genre.

Its about the country of panem.there r 12 districts and the capital. A girl named katniss and her mother and younger sister live in 12. She learned how to hunt after her dad died. There is the hunger games invented long ago by the capital.they are basicly when a girl and boy between the age of 12 and 18 (a boy and a girl from each district) are shipped into an arena to fight to the death. The games could last a month. Anyway katnisses sister is drawn to go to the games and katniss volenters for her and now is in the games fighting for her life. I loved this book!!!!!!!!! It wasn't boring at all...idk any books like it but I personally love Percy Jackson books

Uhhhh........It's set in the distant future of the US, although it's called Panem at that point and has 12 districts and a capital with a sadistic president. Every year each district has to send one boy and one girl between the ages of 12-18 to the capital to participate in the Hunger Games as punishment for trying to rebel a while back. The President then sends the 24, teens into an arena and forces them to fight to the death. So 24 go in, but only one can come out.
I liked it a lot. It sort of reminded me of a cross between Stephen Kings The Running Man and The Long Walk, but for young adults. I would recommend reading it.

1) Without spoiling it all, I'll just tell you that it's about a dystopian country that punishes the districts (like Canadian provinces or US states) by sending kids to the Hunger Games, where they have to fight to the death.
2) I really enjoyed the first book, and I really like the way the author writes (she leaves loads of cliff-hangers). I'm just starting the second book, and I like it so far, but some say that is was disappointing compared to the first one.
3) I haven't come across any, but I don't have much time to read/look for books, so there probably are some out there. Any dystopian society books would probably be similar.

1. A dystopian future in which most people live in extreme poverty and servitude to the indulgent capitol. To demonstrate their power, the capitol gathers up children from the poor districts to fight to the death for their entertainment. The book is about a girl who is part of these games and how she survives.
2. I liked it. The author didn't shy away from violence and tough subjects. The heroine isn't a sappy weakling, or unrealistically tough. The world and situation the author creates is compelling and I kept wanting to read more.
3. The Giver, 1984, The Maze Runner, or The Most Dangerous Game are kind of similar.

The Hunger Games is a young adult novel set in a dystopic future, where there is no more North America--only a place called Panem, with its gorgeous capitol and twelve outlying districts. Back in the day, the districts gathered together and rebelled against the capitol. The capitol defeated them soundly, even oblitering what used to be the 13th district.

they're the two stunning sequence yet i pass to declare Harry Potter for confident! It has an stunning tale line and JK Rowling is a phenominal author. The books have a number of symbolism so it makes it greater exciting to %. out. as nicely that, i've got grown up with Harry Potter and has each and every thing you should ask for in a stable e book: journey, Romance, Coming-of-Age, Friendship, secret, Humor, frightening, you call it. Idk why I capitalized all the subject concerns in the e book... haha starvation video games definately has all those useful factors yet no longer even close to to a similar point as Harry Potter. you will advance emotionally linked with the characters in JK Rowlings e book and you will relatively be unhappy once you have finished the sequence when you consider which you should declare so long to all of us who appeared so genuine to you one minute and the subsequent minute you already know that's fictional. If I have been you, i might examine the two. yet Harry Potter is greater useful with the help of a few distance :) starvation video games would not even learn!

it was fricken fantastic!! you need to read! its about how in the future only 12 districts are there with 1 capitol and in order to remeber that the capitol is in charge and how the districts can easily be wiped out every year each district sends a boy or a girl to fight for the death. i didnt even know what it was about when i started reading it, my friend just pushed it on me and i said if i didn't read it i was insane.

It's about a reality tv show where the contestants have to survive and kill each other. Only one person is allowed to survive.
It was quite good, better than I expected.
Not many similar books.
